All Snape really wanted, once his wand had been returned to him, was to Apparate to the Hog's Head and get completely and thoroughly pissed. Life, however, is often unfair, he realized as he stepped into the bar and his eyes fell upon the only empty seat and the man sitting beside it--Remus Lupin.

Wow, two reviews from you in one day! *is happy* I don't know how y'all get through the queue so fast and still find time to read fic on the side... *is in awe* (sounds silly, but I've been on the admin end, and I don't think anyone could pay me enough to go back to working queues...) And yes, Snape had to get in the last word. He's Snape; he wouldn't have it any other way. ;)

Oh, wow, I didn't know you weren't admining any longer. I'll bet it's odd without a queue to worry about/be chained to, huh? And can't be paid to do it again? *Snaps fingers* Damn, I happen to be searching for one. LOLWe try to keep up with the queue so we don't get behind. Luckily we have enough actively working it so that we have time to read and write (most of the time). Well, we try to keep up anyway, but we have our slow days as well.

Lol. Yeah, I don't miss it. I suspect someday I might, but at the moment, I'm enjoying being able to participate in fandom again. When I became an admin, I was pretty new to fandom and had yet to discover things like weekly chats and yahoo groups and LiveJournal and, well, other archives. i was very new. By the time I found all this other fun to stuff to play with, I had no time to do it. It's nice to be able to read and check out art and participate in communities, and write, omg I write so often now... so I'm enjoying my newfound freedom. :)
Oh, you posted it! Am so glad for it's a really splendid piece. I'll say again that your Remus is totally how I see him, having a backbone instead of being a whimp. Just can't see him that way.
And Snape, well, he's as surly and mean as ever. Poor man, just wants to have a drink in peace. lol

Lol. *pets Remus* I normally love Remus to death, but I couldn't help myself from making him angry here. :)
That could be how Snape's release would happen. Actually, Lupin had it come: he's been baiting Severus since the beginning, with his allusions to Severus planning to leave. Very well done.

"I never thought that one person could keep so many secrets without losing their mind." I loved this line. This was an interesting piece. Well written and it certainly gives us a different look at Remus. (Severus is perfectly in character, however!) Thanks for sharing.

I will admit, my views on Remus don't match with those of a lot of people in fandom. I guess I just like seeing him with a backbone. Remus, to me, is nice to everyone all the time because he wants to be liked. Snape has never liked him, and is now being very nasty, not to mention that they seemingly fought on opposite sides of the war and even though Snape was declared innocent, even he admits in the fic that most people still hate him and think he should have been found guilty, so I can't see Remus going out of his way to try to be nice to him. *shrug*
