Sweet ficlet.  I was delighted by the little things in the beginning like them remembering what they'd each eaten on their last "date."  The near-disaster was a great way to bring drama to it without making it OtT!

Very exciting.  You should definitely write more action / adventure, you have a gift for it.

I really like this alot. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it leaves a question as to what ended up happening to "little Wood" and why he chose The Three Broomsticks.

I understand that the Hermione/Severus part has been finished. At least the fact of finally realizing that they love one another.  There could be more. It feels like there is more.  hehe.  I know that the muses don't always allow it though.

 It is almost as if you left it so you could continue the story?

This is a lovely story. I do like the way the fire makes Severus and Hermione figure out that their feelings are stronger than friendship. Though, I really like the friendship aspect, too. I approve of the idea that after the war, Severus might eventually mellow enough to actually make friends based on something other than mutual enemies and unbreakable vows.

The scene in which Hermione muses that the parchment reminds her of Severus is very sweet.
