Severus reflects on a Halloween past while Hermione encourages him to participate in the present Halloween. There is a costumed ball, and there are many meetings and a surfeit of romantic moments. This story is a sequel to Master of Enchantment, Bast: Operation Kitty, Meet the Parents, Meet the Boys, Meet the Beetles, and Nobody Told Me There'd Be Days Like These.

Reviews for A Hallowe'en Tail
This story was truely, enchanting. Sorry I couldn't help myself.
Loved the story.
Gonna have to read all of the prequels to fully understand this one, huh. Ah, well. I'm slowly working my way through nearly everything on the site. :)Nice bit.

Hi! The stories go in this order:Master of EnchantmentBastMeet the ParentsMeet the BoysMeet the BeetlesNobody Told Me There'd Be Days Like ThisHallowe'en TailThe Christmas RoseMr Alister Comes Home
What a sweet tribute to all those who deserve romance, for all those who get what they deserve, and for all the rest of us who, if we can't get it, can at least have the vicarious thrill of a ripping good read....
Excellent work. Enjoyed the multiple kind of mini-plots between couples at the Ball and the cat/houseelf.Would like to hear more about the "Enchantment". Maybe a sequel? :)

Hi,

! There's one more Enchantment sequel after this, called The Christmas Rose - it's a six chapter story. I think I"ll write a new Enchantment christmas story this year. Thanks for the note!
I can just imagine five little Snapes. Wonderful. I hope you do another story in this series someday.Thank you,Truly
Wonderful as always!
Well I enjoyed your latest story so much that I had to go back and start reading what I have missed, this was a lovely, not so little, one shot, now I am off to see what else I might have missed.
Though I'm not usually reading this ship I read this story. And that led to read your other stories. LOL! I just finished Bast: Operation Kitty. Your character describtions are simply wonderful. It was funny how Hermione lured Severus into wearing a costume. That was very Slytherin.Though I like it you made Remus a happy man, I don't like him with Tonks. He should end up with me, preferably. LOL!I hope to read more of your wonderful stories in the future.

Hi, Ksianna! I'm pleased to know that you're enjoying my stories; that pleases me more than you know. You'll have no objections from this quarter for your claim on Remus -- leaves more Potions master for me! Thanks for taking the time to leave a note.
I absolutely love this series! I hope you write more installments soon!

Thank you, Indigo Angel! We'll begin posting a Christmas story, soon.
Ive read this story before and lioved it then. The enchantment is a brilliant set of stories tsht i could read (and do read) over and over.
But poor Quirk, the poor little house elf doesn't know what is going on ever... Freedom of house elfs i say!!! I just love Quirk!!!

Karla Marie, please forgive me for my tardiness; I could have sworn that I answered this!
Thank you for the lovely compliment about the Enchantment stories; they are very special to me.
OH my goodness, I love this one soooo much. I don't even think I can list all my "favorite" parts without reprinting the story! Sev's closet romanticism getting "aired", Hermione's show of her Slytherin-ism with Miss Howatch, Lupin & Severus "enjoying" the ball, and just so much more. I must admit I love how you can go between scenes (the ball with all it's different couples and the kitty goings-on) with such wonderful ease. You continue to amaze me with your talent and ability. I'm so glad I know where to find you & your writing ;-)

My very dear, posting at TPP provides many joys, not the least of which is your constant enthusiasm and support. I enjoy each of your reviews enormously -- look for them, in fact -- I do so love the dialogue I can have with my readers through this medium. Bless you! Next up will be a Christmas story!
I don't know how I missed this, I'll have to go back and make sure that I reviewed all the series. Severus and Hermione made a striking couple, and the fact that their love and happiness bugs dear Rita, and the prat Lockheart is a bonus.. Quirk sure had his hands full with "kitties" didn't he, he can go home now and have a nice cup of tea, or more likely clean something, to sooth his nerves.
Sweet!!
Oh, so that is when he got her ribbon! I was kind of wondering when it hit him you know? Awesome story as always.
And congrats on being married for so long! It's been 30 years now right? That is so sweet!

It's a delight, watching you work your way through my stories,

. Yes, we celebrated 30 years a few months ago. I hope you'll give Unseen a try, even though it's about Severus and Lily, rather than Severus and Hermione. I think of it as the prelude to SSHG. Thank you for your reviews!

Well, I can tell you that it is a delight going through your stories.I think I'm pretty much going read all of your stories. I'm going from oldest to newest I think. So next on my list is Siren Song. Don't know how far Unseen is but I'll give it a go.No problem! I like leaving them to let the author know what I think. ^_^
