this is a lovely story that i keep coming back to, and it just occurred to me that i'd never told the author as much. definitely one of my favorite Insecure!Snape stories. i love how you portray severus' mind, laying him bare in a very short amount of time. he is both realistic and extremely sympathetic in this fic, which is difficult for most authors to do in a multi-chapter. you painted this vivid portrait effortlessly. good work.
What a beautiful story! I brought tears to my eyes when Hermione spoke behind Severus. And I loved the way you framed his thoughts in the form of questions!Please keep up the great work;-)
