Reviews for The Binding
I really like it! Especially the unsolved mystery. They don't know what happened and neither do we. Maybe the two hexes clashed and produced something strange. This isn't the type of story that needs to be resolved.

I tend to think that's what happened. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for the review!
I like this. I really do, even if can't explain why. I think your writing stile makes that, it's subtle and yet so easy to understood. Don't know if I've made myself clear, but...just keep in mind that you have another fan :P
Response from Saltfish (Author of The Binding)
Thank you. It was a very, very quick write and so explaining it all was going to be tough. I'm thrilled to have a fan!
Well, that's an ambiguous little mystery of a story-no beginning, no ending-very modern,
Response from Saltfish (Author of The Binding)
ha ha. Hadn't thought of it that way! Mysteries that never get solved are a bummer. Thanks.
Thirty minutes? You really got a lot accomplished in that time! Your ending is so open-ended that we can each write our own endings. Nice job.

This one went over-time; it was closer to an hour. Plus it had a few edits after, whereas the other short ones didn't (apart from the beta to get into the archive).I'm so glad you liked the open ending, I did too. I agree, it's nice sometimes to write your own. Thanks for the comments.
I enjoyed the tale (a house cursing the two people in it), and I wish I knew more about the curse itself. I was a little confused about the stream of lights from the two wand tips. I'd thought people hiding there had hexed them or that they'd hexed each other. The house made them do it?
Response from Saltfish (Author of The Binding)
My belief now is that the house made 'em do it, which I didn't intend when I wrote it. It was later I saw what happened. My intention was for them to hex each other. The reason I left the details murky is that neither character was in a position to know what happened, so I left it out. Essentially for them it's a blank and then a dream, of sorts, and I wanted to maintain that mystery.I know it isn't the most satisfying read, but I had these images I wanted to convey more than anything. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks very much for the review.
Your one off leaves me with questions, and nowhere to get the answers. Unless you change your mind and clarify this chapter for your readers.Best wishes.

That sometimes happens with ficlets. I won't change my mind on the writing, though; I'm pretty happy with this one, and the puzzle appeals to me. Thanks for the comments. I'll consider what you've said next time.
that is really , for lack of a better word, cool.
I really did enjoy reading this and would have loved to know where they go from there, but i still like it as a one-shot.

Glad you thought it was cool. LOLIt's such a quick write, I had no thoughts other than finishing it. I don't know where they might go. Hmmm.
I like this. I can't explain more, I can only say that I like this. It's complete, but yet leaves enough "imagining" room. Nicely done.
Response from Saltfish (Author of The Binding)
Thanks! Glad you like it. It felt complete to me, too.
