9 months and no sequel. It doesn't look promising. It wouldn't have to be a happy-ending sequel. It could be Lucius Malfoy the one stepping out of the shadows and Severus lying dead in his study.

Oh, I hope that this isn't a one-shot.  I hope that Hermione's wrong, and that the reason why Severus has been looking away from her is because he doesn't want her to see how much he truly cares for her.  I hope that the ring he gave her isn't just a mark of possession -- a collar of sorts. Since a collar around her neck would be too obvious, it would be jsut like a Slytherin to put one on her finger.  I can't help but notice that you saif Hermione assumes these are the last words she'll ever say to him...surely this suggests that there may be more to this story?

You can't just leave us all hanging......This is a good start....a prologue.....but I think any who read this would agree.....please continue.I want to hear Severus's reaction and a bit more of the relationship  history,you have me intrigued.Is this a dark angsty fic or...?So far.....very good!

I feel sorry for Hermione.  I hope Severus says something to her, even if it is only to say good-bye.  Somehow, I don't think he will say good-bye.  I'm hoping that she's stunned him into silence.

That's cruel, cruel thing to do, missy. Writing one hell of a story but making it a one shot. You've set this out so well. You just keep reading it without having to jump back up, without needing any background information. It's so good. Spelling and Grammer are top-notch. You and your Beta have created a great story here. Usually there has be some sort of Severus action for me to like it but this was something else. Very believable too. I hope you get those sequals out soon. I will definately be keeping my eyes on you.

This is sweet---sad, but lovely just the same. Is there more? Or do we get to use our imagination and think that he will go after her...or he will let her go and she will move forward in her life? (Not that I mind, sometimes I like being left to my own devices.)

I usually enjoy happy endings, and this one definitely doesn't end happily. But if there are two promised sequels...then hopefully they'll end better. I'm certainly looking forward to reading more. Good lord woman! If a sequel hadn’t already been promised I would have been forced to SHOUT in this review. And I hate doing that.   I loved how Hermione poured out her feelings to an unresponsive Snape. I suspect he has some feelings beyond just the physical. Why else would he have given her that ring? Don’t let Snape cave too quickly or 100%. Remember he is a snarky bastard and that is why we fan girls love him. No go! Shoo! Park your butt in front of your computer and write me a sequel!
