I am a latecomer to the Potterverse (way after HBP). I was searching the web for everything and anything about Snape one day when I accidentally stumbled over my first Severus/Hermione story. I read it, was intrigued, searched for more, and the rest is history.
My fandom world very much revolves around Severus Snape and Lucius Malfoy.
My favourite 'ships are Hermione/Severus, Hermione/Lucius, Severus/Lucius, and my OT3: Severus/Hermione/Lucius.
Reviews for The Owl and the Raven
This story is like those russion dolls, where every chater opens a new riddle. I'm not longer so sure about the raven - he is clearly connected in some way to a certain SS, but I'm not sure exactly how.And I'd love to read more about the mutual past og HG and SS.

So there was something between them after the war, interesting. Blinky knows more than she's telling, about many things, and the Raven? we will have to wait and see.

Oh, they had a relationship of sorts after the war? For some reason I thought he disappeared directly the final battle. Interesting twist. Thank you!

I am definitely convinced that the raven is Severus Snape. Question still remains is how did he end up as a raven in the first place? Definitely a backstory needed with the hinted relationship between Severus and Hermione.

There was some much needed backstory there. Makes the raven that much more interesting and you definitely have curiosity picqued about what the house-elves might know about things that wasn't readily supplied to Hermione.
Response from Dreamy_Dragon (Author of The Owl and the Raven)
Thank you!House-elves know about lots of things humans might not be aware of.

I'm enjoying this so much! It's such a clever idea - very different. I love it that the house elves are taking good care of our mystery friend/man/bird.

I'm guessing the raven is Severus. Big question being as to why he's a raven in the first place, and if he's stuck like that. Also, is he responsible for what's going on in the castle.
Response from Dreamy_Dragon (Author of The Owl and the Raven)
~looks shifty~ Good questions...

Perhaps the castle needs something and is trying to tell them. :)

Perhaps... Who knows :)

She should think more closely on why Blinky knows so much about the raven's likes and dislikes. :)

She really should. Blinky is a very clever elf.

Okay, so what is Hogwarts up to? The elves seem to know more about the raven than Hermione does; do they know more about what is going on with the castle as well? And what does Wilhelmina suspect? You are doing a good job of intriguing us without letting us know where it is going while at the same time giving us enough information to keep us interested, and able to follow the story, not an easy challenge for a writer, I think.
I look forward to the next update!
Questions, questions, questions. I guess future chapters will provide the answers. ^_^

A raven, a riddle, a romance? I am anxiously waiting for the third and still keeping my hope up for Severus dropping from the raven's perch one evening. Although the low magic levels are puzzling. You have managed to keep Hermione thoroughly distracted, otherwise she would have questioned the elves already who seemed to know the raven. Thank you for another wonderful installment!
Response from Dreamy_Dragon (Author of The Owl and the Raven)
Thank you for your lovely review :)Hermione is currently a bit preoccupied with the things going on at the castle...

Hmm... wonder what Wilhelmina suspects about the raven. I have a suspicion. And odd about the castle. I can imagine the staircases being frustrating in the best of times, but to have whole areas working against you, definitely odd.
Response from Dreamy_Dragon (Author of The Owl and the Raven)
Something odd is definitely going on... :)

I wonder if the raven knows what is going on, or if he is just trying to investigate like the rest of the staff? And, why did he choose Hermione? No records that Hermione found, the ghosts and previous headmasters know nothing ... what is the deal. Was the Bloody Baron's silence important? Does Wilhelmina really know about the raven, or is she thinking something else about him? So. Many. Questions.
So the elf knows who raven is, huh? She is pretty trusting of this bird, but then again, I think it is in her nature to do so. I wonder what he wants with her, and what he has to do with the mystery.
How very bizarre! You'd think that it is student pranks since they are mostly harmless, but they are right, it is too large scale for that to be the case. You'd think any adult would only do something malicious or to cause damage, not just for a bit of humor. I will be interested to find out what is going on. Oh, and what of the embarrassing picture on the wall that made Neville blush? Perhaps the raven has some answers.
I would really like to know what the Bloody Baron and the house-elves know about Hermione's raven.
Well, it looks like they're off to have lunch with Ginny, and maybe she will have a few ideas about what's going on.

Ohh, an intriguing start. Perhaps the neck feathers are messed up for a reason. Can't wait to see how this plays out.

Why do I think the breakfast Blinky served to the raven is the same breakfast Professor Snape enjoyed every morning in the Great Hall? *grins* I love this!Beth

Because Blinky knows what the teachers like(d) to eat? ~smiles~Thank you!
