A published Aussie author for a number of years now, I decided to dabble in the waters of HP fanfic for the first time. I hope my stories are acceptable.
Reviews for Whose Side Are You On?
Such a sad/loving combination. Nicely written.

Thanks for that,

. The sequel is also posted here on PP, it's called "Inside, Outside, Hidden Away" if you're interested in reading it.Alison
Wow--you spin incredibly grim but absolutely fascinating tales--this is no exception. And perfect ending.
You did a great job with this story; the ending was very realistic and I felt the characters maintained their integrity. War doesn't always have clear winners and although Severus and Hermione are limited in what they can do publicly, they are going to have happiness within their 4 walls. I also enjoyed that you chose to focus more on the angst of the situation and didn't make it a smut-fest (not that those stories aren't good;-) It's nice to see an author take the time to develop a believable plot in a short story and not fall back to a PWP! Please keep on writing!

Thank you for your comments, and I'm glad you enjoyed the story. I have another on Ashwinder (bit of shameless self-promotion here!). It's titled "Work in Progress"; if you liked this story you may enjoy that one as well, although it is quite a bit darker.Alison

I love it I love it I love it! This was one of the best "Death Eaters Win" stories I've read! You did a wonderful job! Brava!

Thanks for the nice comments! I'm glad you liked it.Alison
I liked this story very much. I think it was very in-character for Snape to be on the "winning side" and my heart melted when Hermione said she was on his side. Wonderful.

Thanks for that. I wasn't sure if I liked the story when I wrote it - I usually write quite dark stuff, ie no happy-ever-after possible, although "Happy Accident" was an exception to the rule! But it's growing on me now after re-reading, to the extent that I might think when I'm not so time-poor about writing a longer novella-style story exploring the themes in the story more closely.Thank you for posting - it's always a thrill to see my words in print!Alison
Oh wow, such powerful stuff. You really do like the angst, don't you! I like that Sev got her a house-elf and made those plans. It would be so horrible for her to have been trapped if something happened to him. I was confused in one part where it said that Harry and Voldemort had destroyed each other, but it was overall quite the chilling read with a warm ending.

Oh, thanks for the heads-up about that error re: Harry and Voldemort! I went ahead and fixed that. It was interesting, as I read through the story to make sure there were no other unintentional bloopers, I found a number of small grammatical ones that I wouldn't have picked up but for the ongoing tutorial of editing errors out of "Love Inhuman"! So my written English must be improving!Have you read the sequel to this story: "Inside, Outside, Hidden Away"? I don't often write sequels to my short stories, but this story spawned a plot bunny, so I followed it down the burrow.Alison

Way to go! I'd read it before but not reviewed (bad me) not realizing something came before it, but I've had it open all afternoon to review after I do some editing.
