Never read a Vampire!Snape fic. I rather liked this. Might be something I should look into. ...of course this being the first, I will have rather high expectations of them. :)

I know I am in the minority when I say that I don't love the whole vampire thing. Still, you paint such a powerful, sensual, and even content picture of these two that I can't help but feel happy for them.

Well, I don't like that whole Twilight sparkly thing myself. I like my vampires dark and lush (I do absolutely adore the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. That's a vampire series I can REALLY sink my teeth into!) But I had a lot of fun with this one! I'm glad you enjoyed it - it is very gratifying to hear that you went ahead and gave a genre you don't care for a read, and found elements within to enjoy. Thank you so much!

So very cool. Both versions. Great writing, "She floated in a place with no space or time... she was a feeling, a scent on the wind, a scrap of litter blowing gently over the ground by a soft, careless breeze… " that is my favorite.

Wow, very enthralling. I'm glad it worked out for him. Finally something did. And in the working out, it worked out for Hermione too.

Lush. The words, the imagery, the blood. Just lush.

I liked it. I read it twice. I was trying to imagine hearing Severus talk baby talk to Hermione but tonight I couldn't get it to work. It think it would not be a bad ending for the story at all. I rather think Hermione would be much happier with Severus like this than as Mrs. Ronnald Weasely for the rest of her life. I could see this happening. I know some people find the vampire thing erotic, but I feel fairly neutral about it. I don't hate it but it doesn't do anything for me. Maybe if I read some of the vampire stories out there that are so popular. However, I'm content with my Severus Snape fetish. Thank you for keeping the the SS/HG world alive. I haven't grown tired of them in a decade. I wish I was as clever as you are and could write my own. Only by now I'd probably just be stealing everybody else' ideas I've read since the first movie came out. I'm glad I can finally picture Hermione as an adult. I always had to put someone else in my mind until the person who plays her got old enough. Keep up the good work. I'm a huge fan TR!!!!!

Loved the Director's Cut!!

Thank you! There is an anthology taking submissions right now - 'undeath and the detective'. I'm really tempted to 'file the numbers off' and submit this one!

Oh, I like both versions! The original drabble is clean and crisp, all sharp edges and no room for fat.But the Director's Cut feels rich and luxurious, and I love all the added narrative it brings. These are wonderfully erotic, with overtones of such beautiful melancholy. I love that both of them were changed forever by the moment in the Shack, and keep coming back to it. I really love this story, and find myself wanting more, at the same time realizing the story is perfect as is. Well done!Oh, and Sempra's art - just gorgeous!

Thank you so very much!! You comments leave me feeling like I accomplished what I set out to do in both versions, and that makes me really happy. Mimimanderly also did a delicious version of this, all in black and white as well (they were both doing a drawing phase at the time) but she tipped his fingers in red - it was so effective! I am just thrilled with your comments. Thank you so much!
