On the night the light is defeated and the dark wins, Lord Voldemort grants a boon to his most valued and trusted spy.
This is a very, very dark and disturbing story of pain and punishment. If you find the idea of non-con and dub-con unsettling, please understand this will not be the story for you.
But also know this: at the heart of this story lies a mystery. All will be revealed if you dare to continue.

Reviews for I Want That One
wow! Excellent! I almost feel sorry for Snape now. What a mess he's in and it wouldn't be at all surprising for someone who endured all he has to be a bit mad after the triumph of the dark lord. Poor Snape and Poor Granger. :(

Oh, my. I've been reading this one and held off on reviewing at the beginning. I had a stray thought in chapter 1, and dismissed it. You've led me down that path again, either intentionally or unintentionally. This story is unbelievably intriguing. Dark and difficult, but very well written. I await the next chapter anxiously.

Thank you! I really appreciate you hanging in there. It's not a fic for everyone, but I am always thrilled when a reader gives it a go and ends up enjoying it.

Oooh -- interesting that she can't really FEEL while in someone else's body. Excellent scene. I loved how she took control and h ceded it. Is Sev a submisive? LOL
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of I Want That One)
Thank you! As someone with experience in the lifestyle, while I love the idea of a Dominant Snape, I believe Severus is a born submissive.
Response from AuntieL (Reviewer)
Me too! He's too Alpha in real life to want to be a Dom. He needs to be able to relinquish control for a little while. ;) And... UGH! I misspelled "submissive" in my review!

No problem! Speaking of submissive, I might just have something you may enjoy...

Wow! Don't kill him. That would be too merciful. Let him live out his life like Gilderoy Lockhart. I just hope that the Dark Lord doesn't figure out who did this when Snape disappears and goes hunting for our two heros.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of I Want That One)
OH! I hate to think a moment - I thought you were talking about Severus there!
Response from ClayPotter (Reviewer)
After re-reading my review, I realise how confusing it sounds. Snape wiped Lucius' memory and left him to be a babbling idiot for the rest of his life. Mear death would have been too quick and painless. I just hope Voldemort doesn't figure out that Severus did this and follows him to the ends of the earth to exact his revenge.

Still, going to read the next chapter. This is very intense. I'm still curious, though, about the mysteries you've metnioned.

Ok, first, stop loading chapters while I am at work. It's cruel to know they are sitting there and I can't read them. Second, this chapter did its job in sending me further into confusion. What the heck is going on with him? He seems to be starting to realize something is up as well. I loved the bedroom scene which started out dreadful for them and ended up wonderful with the unexpected shift in power. Off to read more!

Hmmm, I am intrigued. I don't usually read dark fics but I'm interested in finding out about the mystery. Of course I'm aware I'm reading at my own risk. Poor Hermione.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of I Want That One)
Well, thank you for giving it a try - I promise, this more of a mystery than even a dark fic, which, of course it is. Thank you for diving in. Trust me!

Such a gut-wrenching story. I almost decided to pass it up, but it tugged at my curiosity. Now, although still quire horrified, I find myself compelled to read each chapter. Funny, that. And now this big question looms... Keep posting. I'll keep reading.

Poor, messed up Sev. Good thing one of the two of them has a clawhold on sanity.

Beautiful epilogue. And I like the fact that it was Neville who brought down Voldemort in the end. The prophecy still held.

Oh yes! I forgot to mention how much I liked that Severus used Phineas Nigellus as a link to the Trio while they were on the run. I liked how PNB was begrudgingly admiring, and how Severus demanded that he not call her a Mudblood. :)
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of I Want That One)
I always liked that point in the books. I think I've used it in about 4 of my fics (Miss Predictable here!), but I do think he would have admired her resourcefulness, even as he dismissed her bloodlines.

"He had stopped loving her the day she destroyed the Light"? Hm. Interesting thought. Wonder how he figures SHE destroyed the Light... And... Lily? I'm not terribly surprised, but maybe just a smidge. (He really DOES seem to be losing it...)

I'm reading along through this thinking, "Oh, now I see what's going on. Wait, what's going on?" Come on, Snape, give me something to work with here. Quit being so wonderfully vague. I wonder what seeing Lily will do to him and his "problem?" I'm starting to question why I read things that aren't fully posted *pulls out hair*By the way, I had nothing to worry about. This is a wonderful story, abuse and all. I can tell from the start that my needed "purpose" for the darkness is here. If only I could find it ...
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of I Want That One)
Thank you so much for your kind comments. There is indeed a purpose and a reason. Those that dare to stay on the dark path will find it...

Wow! The description of his Scourgify was excellent! It seems like Severus is at odds with himself when it comes to Hermione. Hmmm... (and Hermione is fomenting suicidal ideations...)

I am perversely drawn to dark fics even as I long for a HEA in everything I read. I don't mind them having to get through a tonne of SHIT to get there, though. (Make sense?) And a mystery is always fun, even if I NEVER guess correctly. :)

I have to agree with Hermione that it almost would have been better if he'd physically beaten her. Not really, but the humiliation and degradation for someone like her seems far worse. That said, he hasn't really harmed her too badly, considering what others would do to her, and it certainly is in his power to do some horrible things. I'm holding on to hope that he isn't exactly what he seems. Is someone watching them? Is he under some kind of spell? Something seems off. Especially his mood swings. If he wants to sit back and watch her pleasure him and just enjoy it, why not do it? It isn't as if that wouldn't count as punishment. She is doing it against her will, afterall. But, he suddenly feels the need to be mean and rough again. Something is going on, and I am about to find out what it is. *looks around for chapter three* Drat!

I must have read this on your LJ because it is familiar, but it's been long enough I don't remember how it works out. Almost new fic! :o)You aren't kidding that it's tough to take, but I do like a Hermione with grit.

Okay, here is your real review. I really, really (did I mention really?) do not like dark fic. It isn't as if I always want fluff, but I at least want some semblance of happiness. But, you know what I do like? You. So, I am giving this a whirl. It may not be entirely my cup of tea, but I have no doubt it will be well written. There are a couple of things I don't like about dark fic. One, is that often I feel like there is no point. Like some are written for shock value, or just to be evil and awful because they can. I can handle the awful if there is a purpose. I don't need a happily ever after by any means, but the horrible tale needs a reason for being. I don't know if that makes any sense. Then, there's Snape. He can be grouchy, or rude, or selfish, or cruel or whatever, and I am okay with it because he isn't the nicest person out there. But when you peel away all of the layers, he is a good person. If he is written as legitimately evil , I don't buy it.That being said, there aren't any warnings out there that bother me too much to read so that doesn't scare me away. And I can tell already from this chapter that you are wise to put such heavy warnings because inevitably, someone will read it and then be mad that it is so awfully graphic or something. You paint the perfect picture of Hermione. She is still sensible, but that is part of what keeps her from breaking completely. But, she is also vulnerable and has been horribly abused, and I feel like her thoughts and feelings are just how they would be given her situation. I think the hardest thing would be trying to reconcile the harsh cruel Snape one moment, and the careful healing Snape the next. This is going to get complicated.Wonderful, yet awful story.
Response from TeddyRadiator (Author of I Want That One)
I completely understand what you mean. I despise a Snape who is so cruel that I can't understand why Hermione would want anything to do with him. At the heart of this story is a mystery. and I tell readers that, if you can read past what you see, what you don't see will explain everything. I know it's hard reading, but I promise you there is a point to it. I also don't like pointless cruelty or gratuitous abusiveness. Everything you read, everything you SEE, has a point here. And all the clues are in the first chapter once you know what to look for. Clear as mud?? LOL Thank you again for just going with it. I really appreciate that you would read it for my sake.

"The Snape" I can certainly see how his name has become a title. This angry violent Snape is most certainly a dark thing. Your descriptions of the victory and the blood bath gave me goose bumps. And I do mean that as a compliment. I dont know if I can wait for it all to be posted here. Would you mind if I hopped over to LJ and read it there??

Thank you for giving my fic a try. I realise it's not always easy to read, but there is a mystery here. I don't mind if you want to read the whole thing! I don't mind at all, but to be honest, the LJ version is a really beta version of it. I sort of used LJ as a 'first draft' ground, then I expanded it to its full form. You can find the complete and unexpurgated fic it in its entirety at Ashwinder: http://ashwinder.sycophanthex.com/viewstory.php?sid=24550

Ok, I have no business reviewing this while I'm not at my computer where I can properly type. So, I won't. I'm just here slumming for chapters, lol. I will leave a proper review at home. I'm severely cringing, but not yet hitting the back button.

Thank you for giving it a try. I will tell you there is a mystery afoot, if you can stick with it. If not, I completely understand. It's not easy reading at times. But thank you for being willing to give it a go.

Such a horrifying situation...poor Hermione. My God...she's so damn strong.
