I remember hearing old theories that Pince was his mum, so I guess that made it ready for me to guess the plot of the story a bit. The ending few paragraphs felt very rushed though, I hadn't expected the end quite so fast. Otherwise I liked it. I'm a sucker for SS/HG.

Hmm... I thought I read somewhere that JKR never answered the question when someone asked if Irma Pince is SS's mom (I think it was about the anagram...Irma Pince/I'm A Prince).  Anyway, I think this is just the second story I've ever read that mentions it.

I love the idea that Snape's mother was in the castle with him all along.  This was a very sweet story.
