Reviews for Chance Met
I like how you tied past and present int his fic. Well done.
Oh, this is lovely. What a fabulous bonding moment back in the past while not having them wildly out of character. Makes you wonder just what transpired between now and then to officially bring them together.
Response from TeaOli (Author of Chance Met)
Thank you!You know, when I wrote that past interaction, I wasn't thinking of it as a moment. I just thought it was Hermione being earnest whilst Snape was callous and chillingly resigned to his fate, But others, in other places, saw it your way. You are all making a believer out of me. As for how they came together, I've been posting the raw (only slightly beta-read) version of that story to AO3 as I work out how to best put the chapters in order.

Yay for more story! I think that in the moment, it was Hermione being earnest and Snape resigned to his fate. But it seems to me that this was a rare encounter for both of them and they came away from it, both with something to think about. And in my head, as time went on and Hermione had to be brave time and again, and Snape's life started looking like he might be able to live beyond the war, each of them would continue to think back on this moment when they found some sort of respect for one another's wisdom. Oh, dear, you've got me rambling. That is a sign that I really enjoyed a story when I can't shut up! :)
Response from TeaOli (Author of Chance Met)
Honestly, I don't mind the rambling. Even though this story in its current form couldn't remain part of Lessons in Metempsychosis and Saṅsāra, it really is one of the fics of which I am most proud. So your thoughts mean the world to me. Thank you so much for sharing them.

He might complain, but at least he changes the napkins! :)
Response from TeaOli (Author of Chance Met)
Only because Hermione has him on a schedule. Obviously, he is the only one who can do the job right. Isn't he a lovely husband, doing his share even though he complains?

Well, I was going to have something profound to say about this until I got to the spinach and mushy peas part and then I just LOL'd. Icky Grape has Icky PooThanks for the entertainment!
Response from TeaOli (Author of Chance Met)
LOL! You can still say something profound if you'd like. But I'll take laughter, too. Thanks for sharing!

looks up meaning of name Echion.... "son of the viper" - OMG!! This is perfect! Thanks for sharing this. And of course little Ekkie would be Daddy's boy.
Response from TeaOli (Author of Chance Met)
Oh, thank you! One small part of the reason I jettisoned this chapter was because of Echion's name, to be honest, but your comment just made me feel better about having written it in the first place. Thank you!
Response from June W (Reviewer)
Well, his middle names aren't as nice and dramatic as Echion, but "son of the viper" is definitely a nice Slytherin name. And Echion is just as unusual a name as Severus. Go for it!
Response from TeaOli (Author of Chance Met)
Yes, Echion, Severus and Hermione are all three unusual for many of us, but perhaps not for magical folks."Wilf" made a nice, peaceful balance, I thought, to Echion. And "Grape" comes, of course, from Granger and Snape.
Response from June W (Reviewer)
Peaceful? Hmm.... how about: Echion Pax Granger-Snape?

The story is wonderful! The name: Ekkie Grape? Not so much. All I can think of is how that poor little boy would get teased at school for being an Icky Grape!
Response from TeaOli (Author of Chance Met)
Yes, well, perhaps then you can see (one of thre reasons) why I deleted it from the omain story. However, the baby's full name, Echion, actually has a meaning (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echion) which seemed fitting. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts!
