This really has to be the worst-case scenario for a relationship wracked by mixed and confused signals.  However, hopefully this new focus will help Severus save Hermione.  I eagerly await the next chapter!

I suppose at least Severus and Hermione are able to finally admit and explain their true feelings to each other.  And I'm pleased that Snape was able to one up Clíona with that bargain lol.

What an agonizing way to be forced to face his past and current feelings for Hermione! It shall take quite a bit of strength on his part as well as a bit of soul-searching, possibly on both their parts.

I must admit that I giggled slightly at Snape's note that she couldn't possibly be Hermione as "She wasn’t turned on by restraints," lol.

I'm really enjoying this mix of myth and original backstory, especially since I had no prior knowledge of this mythology before reading this story. I look forward to more as I continue on to the next chapter.

I can't say this scenario wasn't going to be a possibility from the very begginning of the undertaking. Cliona's inhabiting the same body and same voice and she's a deciever. How can he trust who he's talking to? But how is he ever going to rectify this??
