Another really enjoyable chapter. I love your dialogue; and Snape's Obliviate and Hermione's subsequent misgivings were so in character. The art sounds extremely macabre, but then, I suppose it WOULD be. Fabulously original idea.

Thank you! I'm glad you found Snape and Hermione in character. The root of her misgivings will be examined in the next chapter. In regards to Anna, I wanted to make Anna and the artwork just extreme enough to warrant suspicion, but not so extreme that she became a caricature, so hopefully I have succeeded.I hope to have the next chapter up soon!
Hermione's reaction to an Obliviate on an unwilling person is nearly pitch perfect. well done.

Very interesting and original plot. The description of the school parties at the art museum is particularly evocative, and the idea of Death Eater art is fascinating and horrifying.

I love the interactions and witty dialogue. There is definitely more than a frisson of UST between Snape and Hermione. And the little interuptions from a nervous Thomas are very amusing (he had to be a Hufflepuff, he's lovely :)) I really laughed when Snape referred to the war as the days of that unpleasantness. Now there's an understatement.

Thank you! Yes, there is definitely some attraction there, and poor Thomas is too ignorant to realize that he's kind of become the third wheel. And also, yes, Snape can be quite blasé at times lol.

Cute. Hermione makes me laugh in this story. She's grown up, but she's still very Hermione. I like her. Snape is fun, he's relaxed a bit, but you can see that Hermione being there has thrown him off a bit. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Thank you : ) I certainly have a few ideas for a continuation but haven't had the time to write them down. I would definitely love to explore more Snape and Hermione adventures in the U.S. (and perhaps a bit of "Meet the Parents" lol) and, of course, there would be at least a cameo for dear Thomas. Let's hope my schedule let's up soon lol!

I don't understand why the rest of my review did not show up. I would love to see a continuation of sorts. The adventures of Snape and Hermione's life in America, the fate of the elves and a reappearance of endearing young Thomas. Maybe a Bigfoot sighting =) I truly enjoyed this tale!
This story is delightful. Full on Snape mode and a feisty Granger holding her own makes for entertaining reading.

Thank you! I love a mysterious Snape, and I certainly couldn't let Hermione take this abuse (or at least that's how she sees it) lying down.
This deserves a better review but I got so caught up reading that I have to rush off to work now. I'm very much enjoying this though and I look forward to the next chapter. Next time you'll get a better review.

Thank you! I must admit that I enjoyed writing the unintentional slap lol. I think it's something we all imagine doing to someone when we're completely stressed out but would be mortified if we actually acted on the impulse. Gah!!! Such an evil cliffie! I'm surprised that this story hasn't received the many reviews it clearly deserves -- not only is it written in a truly gifted writing style, but the dialogue is exceptionally witty and dynamic, and the storyline is intriguing, keeps the reader guessing, all while staying well clear of the clichéd plot devices... In short, it's incredibly professional and entertaining.
