So clever, Mystery Author! 'Pole tax'? (Chuckling quietly to self.) And such clearly drawn characters - sassy Hermione, the very sweet parents Weasley, Percy in all his glory, and ha! the Malfoys! Well done!Hooray, Arthur! Well... what with seven children, what were we expecting?(Oh, but poor Neville! In my mind, I'll re-write a defence of one of my favourite characters. It'll include Hannah saying something along the lines of, "They can't do this to us! You know this will bankrupt us... and then how will we pay for the wedding?" Neville responds with something along the lines of, "When Gran finds out we had to pay a usage fee before we tied the knot, she'll open the family vaults just to avoid the scandal. Don't worry, dear. Come back to bed.")

Oh, I adore your story. Love it. Died laughing. I just also love me some Neville. Besides, didn't we see in DH just how well he can handle an enormous snake? (Sorry! Couldn't help it!)

So funny. Thanks for the great read. The Poll Tax became the Council Tax (similar premise to Poll Tax)... wish it had been ditched. Your story still works for me... Wizards just kept the original name.
