Hello! I am rereading this b/c I plan to rec it on crack-broom. I do adore your drug dealer Severs. People should write him more often. It works. Poor Hermione, Poor Severus. Thank you for NOT giving us a happy ending. I like it much better this way.

That's because you're eeeeeeeevil, my birthday twin! (s'why we get along)People keep asking for a sequel. An insane!Hermione locked up in St. Mungo's with Snape an international man of intrigue and crime? Hmmm......(I feel like it's been done already though)

Oh yes completely cracked Hermione showing no signs of regaining her sanity. And Severus in some far away city discovers how easy it is to be a drug supplier to the muggles. I see him getting filthy rich off them and their weakness. Mahwhahaha!
It would be interesting to see a years later chapter. Can Hermione Recover, thereby forgiving herself and Severus.
It's very disturbing. I got mad when I read that Severus was trying to get Felix banned as an illegal substance. Hell, anything can be abused if you're stupid enough to go that far! The thing was, he was her enabler and he didn't want to take the responsibility of making sure she got help or got better. He let her down and now is trying to make the Ministry take over for his consience since he couldn't be arsed to stand up himself? Grrrr.....
What a strong and disturbing picture of dependence and co-dependence in two very broken people. Addiction is such a destructive force. Thanks for sharing.
Wow. Such an emotional journey and he just left her there! Thanks for sharing!
Excellent story, disturbing and almost brutal in places. Severus described himself perfectly, "broken"--he cared, but was too weak to stop himself from his own selfish desires and to help her instead. Until the very end, when it might just be too late for Hermione to ever recover. An odd sort of guilty penance for not having done what was right. Very powerful, and very well done.
Hmmmm. This was so well written that I couldn't help finish reading it, even though I knew I wouldn't like the ending.
But I`m totally confused about Snape. If he`s making seem as if he`s the one responsible, then it follows that he does care. If that `s the case, then it makes no sense that he was so abobinable to her. Even allowing for his natural snarkiness and vitriol, letting her get sicker and sicker for almost a year doesn`t jive with caring about her reputation.
Maybe I just missed the point.
A bleak and haunting tale of addiction. Loverd the final glimpse of Snape's POV in the end.
