Whoa! Raped ... with the information Sev had from Ron, he's going to think Harry did it; a mute point.
I'm wondering should the time come, would Ron be killed as a traitor or left to face his family. I think facing his family and Azkaban would be a fitting sentence for what he's done. No pity here.

Just like Severus to believe what he saw was real despite what she said. Her actions spoke for themselves, though, I believe. And now I'm curious to see how Snape's going to react now that he knows she was raped. Will he jump to conclusions and assume Potter did it - and Ron misconstrued it as consentual? And why do I have the feeling he's actually going to want to kill Potter for forcibly taking what "should be his"?

Hmmm. The premise for this story is terrific, there's lots of potential here. But several things really bugged me:1. Brits don't say 'good guys and bad guys', they say 'goodies and baddies'. You should try and get a Brit-pick beta to make the dialogue less Americanized.2. "A poor bachelor's room"??? Why would a Hogwarts professor be expected to bring his or her own furniture? The student dorms in the canon are well appointed - the staff quarters would be even more so.3. Hermione would NEVER be stupid enough to actually WRITE such things, in Snape's quarters, as a prisoner. Especially after one day of being there - she'd play it safe at first. It's so OOC it's maddening.Like I said before, there's so much potential here. I'm really curious where you're taking the story.

I understand what you mean on these things, but I do have a bit of an explanation.1) Actually no explanation here, I agree it's very Americanized2) Well spotted! This does come up later in the story 3) I can understand your annoyance here, as Cannon Hermione probably would have been more careful. As true as I try to keep her though it must be taken into account that losing her best friends and watching her whole world crumble would definitely change her. When I wrote about her making the mistake to actually write those things out I was trying to emphasize just how desperate she was to believe that everything was normal. Normal for her is that she can always trust her knowledge, and her knowledge told her that a Scriber Charm would protect her musings.

Excellent second chapter, except for one thing...it was too short! Now I'm left wondering what the Summons is for, and what exactly Severus did with his wand right before leaving. I'm also interested to see if we'll get any insight into what's going on with Ron--does he feel any guilt at all for throwing his lot in with Voldemort to save his own life? Did he think if he could just keep himself alive maybe he could one day accomplish something for the Order?Please update soon, I'm very excited to find out what happens next!

I just found this story with the update for the second chapter--very interesting! I've always enjoyed the "what if Voldemort won?" scenarios, and this looks like a good one. I'll be interested to see how long it will take for Hermione to be included in the planning sessions between Dumbledore's portrait and Severus--while Dumbledore likes to hold his cards close to his chest, Severus is going to need someone to rely on who can back him up.Need to run to the next chapter!

So, I just found this story and read it through. I hope indeed that you will have regular updates 'cause it's a very good story!I am wondering who raped Hermione. She was vehement that she and Harry never had sex--did Ron force her? Or maybe one of the snatchers when she was captured? Perhaps good old Victor indulged in date rape way back when she was a fourth year. Hmm...
