I am all sorts of intregied with the idea that Fawkes is the same phoenix that Rowena had. Are they that long lived? Amazing. What Severus saw in Ron's mind was truely chilling. I can see why he turned. Tell me more about nakkid Hermione and Harry??

Ha ha, thank you! Quiet moments are quite rare around here, and things are even more hectic because I have six college classes this fall. Ron is beneth contempt, so far. Harry and Hermione, mmm, was that real, or the vision from when the Horcrux was destoryed? Severus cares much more than he is willing to admit, even to himself. I'm enjoying this very much. thank you.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Argh, I still have questions (which is no doubt exactly how you wanted it when you wrote this)! Severus' line at the end makes Ron's actions remain ambiguous--is he doing this thinking he can save Hermione by getting into the inner circle? Does he think he can have Hermione for himself somehow by taking her from Severus? Yes, he killed Filch, but an argument could be made that it was an act of kindness since squibs would no doubt be treated poorly in Voldemort's regime. Ron gave him a quick death instead of a lifetime of suffering.Also very interested to see what Severus' further plans are going to be for Hermione! He's keeping her guessing, but it looks as though he's beginning to second-guess himself now! Hope to read more of this soon!

I'm so suprised Hermione's list for Severus' positives (for lack of a better term) is so short! Some of the things she could have included were the facts that he had helped with potions for Madam Pomfrey - including making the Mandrake Draught that un-petrified her, and he shielded them against Lupin in the middle of his transformation.

I do agree that her list is a bit narrow... unfortunately after everything she had just gone through (not to mention she thinks she is crazy for thinking he could be good) it was easier to remember his past bad acts than good. The ones she did include however were far too recent to be ignored Thanks for the review, I love hearing reader's thoughts!

Severus sharing his memory with Hermione is so ... intimate, I have goosebumps. I wonder if she realizes that. Good thing she won't be fruitlessly hoping Ron was faking it. If we thought there was any chance of it - he succeed in casting Avada Kadavra, that is telling. Pity about Filch - I know we all despised him, but he didn't deserve that. That last line - oooh, shivers. Waiting impatiently now for more chapters.

Next chapter is with my beta, should be up by this weekend queue willing. I agree that the casting of Avada is telling, but cannot always be relied upon... for instance Harry using an Unforgivable on Bellatrix. Not trying to give false hope about Ron but just putting that out there *evil gin*

I completely buy Hermione's lists, love the one about killing Nagini. She should know better than to think Severus can't read them though. I don't suppose there is the slightest chance Ron has learned Occlumency, is there? No, thought not. Good thing Hermione is safe in Sev's bedroom. <grin>

Ah, much to wonder about here. What exactly did Severus do just before leaving? Did he really think of everything? Does Severus kiss better than Ron? Ok that last isn't really up for question! Settling in for a good story.
