Reviews for Killing Time
I don't know why he needed to be so rude to Harry just then. I hadn't noticed but neither Harry nor Argus have shown up at meals. Hmmmmmm. What do they do?
How did she decide to kiss him? What vibe was he giving other than not being a total rude ass as he had been previously. Maybe she just went for it and hoped for the best.
Making out was so so fun!!! It's one of the only things I miss about being a teen ager. Making out and not always with the same guy all through school. Some were better at one thing and some were better with something else. I know that the first couple of times I participated because I felt it was simply what one did if one was going to start flirting and allowing a boy to kiss and touch you. I was always with a boy 1-3-7 years older than I was. At first, I had no idea what he was enjoying that I was missing, but I didn't mind. There was something enjoyable about providing for some boy's enjoyment if you liked him. I don't remember when I started having my own needs. I think it had started in 8th grade with a boy I had been "going steady with" all school year. When he moved away, I don't think I was really sexually enjoying making out again until 10th grade. I had to have emotional feelings for the young man if I was to feel any thing exciting. Sometimes at parties one finds themself making out with a boy because you and he are the only ones who don't have a partner. I never felt sexulally responsive to those episodes. It was just an fun way to pass the time probably because we weren't supposed to be making out in the first place. It was awful when the boy thought it had meant something between us was real when on my side I was just makin' out to kill the time in a room where all the other kids are doing the same. I really miss it. Especially with a man I'm sexually attracted to. What a loss us old hags suffer. Was married 35 years yesterday. No making out ensued, nor has ensued for at least 15 years or longer. You go Hermione and Severus! Enjoy it while you can!
I do wonder what gave her the idea that he would be at all receptive to a kiss. I started to say what gave her the courage to kiss him, but we are talking about Hermione Granger. I'm sure Draco has given her sound advice once. I bet she didn't kiss him. Was she feeling sexual tension between them and he didn't? He hadn't thought of her naked until he imagined that she would think of him naked. What little cues had he given that a kiss might be in order in the least? I'm glad he was receptive. Maybe understanding his social awkwardness made her pick up a vibe only others like them would recognize. Hmmmmm. I might have agonized about it but don't think I could work up the nerve. Was it impulsive? She is impulsive. Maybe she didn't know she was going to kiss him until she already had. Please advise.
Bless Draco Malfoy! Severus has someone to fill him in and nudge him along in this brave new world. How fortunate for Severus that Draco has found himself in such dire straights.
It's so awful that he has spent so many years with only his own stream of consciousness for company. This house is the best thing that has ever happened to him. I'm looking forward to his late in life socialization and hopefully his future ability not to assume everyone is out to get him.
I noticed that he is now Mr. Snape and not Professor, although he is waiting to return to Hogwarts. Poor Severus. He doesn't know it, but I am sure that lack of extended family will be quite an equalizer in the house and his fortunes have turned for the better. Draco won't be behaving so superior and Severus will be equal to Neville Longbottom. How can that be good? Well, people like Neville and if he gives them a chance, people will like him too. It's a new world and he has Hermione Granger as his champion. He has no idea how fortunate he is. But, he's earned her loyalty. I hope he will feel like less of a charity case when he realizes that others want to thank him for his service even if the Ministry didn't look out for his well being after all he has done to help destroy Voldemort. I have listed this story in my favorites list and I remember the general plot but I have a terrible short term memory, so I can read the same stories over and over again and still not know exactly what is coming up in the next chapter. It makes some things in life much more difficult but it makes my reading for enjoyment more enjoyable since I'm still looking forward to what happens next and my reviews are as fresh as the first time I read it.
What a wonderful and fascinating story! The plot is so original. It has been on my favorites list for a long time. I was looking for something with some depth and a real plot along with some Severus and Hermione love making. I'm glad I chose to spend my day with this story again. This was a different kind of Severus and Hermione romance. They were peers. I wonder when you realized in your story that Severus would not be going back to Hogwars. It looks like Hermione will stay and Severus will stay. Will Malfoy stay after he finishes Auror training? Neville will need more space, I think. Perhaps Severus can figure out a way to make more space at the Augery for the green house(s). I'm glad he and Hermione will still be in the house together. He is good for her. Who will they rehabilitate next? I'm sure there more homeless wizards wandering the earth with nowhere to go in the cold. They will be even more bedraggled by their second winter after the war. Will any Death Eaters ever be released? They would need a home to find their place in this post war wizarding world. Would Kreatcher be willing to let another House Elf share his home and family? There is plenty of work to do. If Harry leaves will Kreatcher leave? I wish you had written a couple of more chapters to let us see how Severus takes on his new role and how he does it different than Harry did. I want to know a bit more about the way he and Hermione's relationship grows. Will they buy a bigger bed and share a bed every night eventually? I'd like to think they will. I don't see any need for them to have children, but I think Severus would like to be married. He would like to know he belongs to someone forever and never has to worry about "until further revisions". He and Hermione would be family in a different way. At present they neither one has an actual relative. My wife and my husband are magical phrases of belonging. Thank you for an enjoyable Sunday.
Wow. I have read your writing before but this is my first time with this story. And I just don't have words. (Maybe because it 2 in the morning...) But this story is deepening my thoughts/understanding of the wizarding world tremendously. Thank you! I am really really loving this- I did not expect to have my brain exercized to this degree and it's incredible. Write more stories please!
Hmm.. I guess it's kind of an odd ending for me, but I liked the story overall, particularly things that I've never seen mentioned in other stories (disenchanted flying carpets used as rugs in Snape's room, changing the house structure, ect). I like those little touches that show an author is actually striving to come up with original material, not just regurgitating fannon forever and ever.
Sometimes it is good to be ill. I've spent a very happy morning finally reading this wonderful story. I love the very real way you've portrayed Severus' and Hermione's relationship. And I love the way you've given them both lives after the war - not simple roles, not starring roles, but roles that they will both fill admirably because they're doing so freely.Thank you!

I'm sorry you were ill! I was actually home and under the weather too, so we can commiserate. Thank you for reading--it means a great deal to me, and I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Thank you!
As a musician myself, I am fascinated by this "traveling music". Any possibility of giving us an idea of what Hermione was actually listening to? And I am most definitely enjoying this fiction more than any I have read in months.
