Reviews for Killing Time
I love how he gives himself and her points throughout a discussion.
I love this Snape. He kind of reminds me of my late Grandad who did grumble about things a lot and come up with snarky comments, but really he was the loveliest person. I know Severus isn't the loveliest person but he's not as bad as he's made out to be :) I love his interaction with Hermione.
I was listening to Ludovico Einaudi whilst reading this, and his descriptions of her music was eerily similar to Einaudi's songs - I'd recommend you listening to them in the hopes that you'll see what I mean :)
Just really lovely. What a talent you are.

!! *blushes* I'm really glad you liked it. :)
A very sweet story. Their interactions were so virginal, I dont know why I didnt see it coming. Snogging for hours, foreplay for months... it's very true. I enjoyed the reality in their interactions, in their relationship, in the house. Snape was never meant to go back, so I like the ending. I wish there was just a dash more, like a paragraph or too, but I understand why you ended it where you did. Good work! Keep writing, because you ROCK!
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thanks, Moonlitjune! I'm glad you liked it. For me, the virginal part was the hardest, but also the most fun to write. It seems a shame that so much of that foreplay is lost to adulthood. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!
LOL. Oh now THAT was fun! I LOVE that last wonderful, terrible, awkward moment.
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thank you!!! I'm so glad you liked it! (I think Snape did too).
I have now completed the four chapters of this story and am totally blown away by the intellect and power of the writing, the plot and characterization. Brilliantly done and I am, oh so eager, to read the next installment.
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thank you so much!! I'm thrilled that you are enjoying it. More quite soon!
this is a very good story. I'm enjoying the very slow development of interactions between Snape and Granger. I look forward to updates!
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thank you very much! I'm glad that the pace is working for you. :)
I'm really enjoying this story and look forward to seeing where you take us.
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thank you very much! I hope you continue to enjoy it!
This is a great story i can tell from the begining chapters Lariope you are a great author your story second life is THE story that converted me into a die hard hg/ss fan waiting for the rest hope it comes out soon :)Cheers :D
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thank you very much. :) *blushes* I'm thrilled that Second Life made you a die hard SSHG fan. YAY!!And I'm very happy that you're enjoying Killing Time. More soon! Thank you for reading. :)
I'm really liking this edgy, off balance dynamic they have going. We fall into this pattern in fanfic with these two where they meet up and immediately have romantic feelings for one another. Or they don't, but they jump right into bed with some wild physical attraction. Or, they fight all of the time, with one misunderstanding after another. I love every minute of the aforementioned situations, but there is something very different going on here. I can't even quite place what it is. But it is wonderful.I find myself quite interested in Hermione's research, and her request for her unlikely roommate. I hope she is able to achieve what she has set out to do. I was sort of hoping Snape would ask her about the foundation. It is clear that Hermione runs the show and what her research involves, but it still feels as if there is some mystery to it. Maybe not. They spent the evening being amicable, but I felt like things shifted ever so slightly towards friendship in this moment:“You will contact me in the usual way?” “Would that be by the bathroom sink or by knocking on the wall?” Her smile, which had been a bit stiff, turned genuine and amused. Nearly against his will, he gave her a small smile in return. “Whichever you prefer.” Ok, I will stop rambling. It happens when a story is really good, you know. I'll try to control myself and leave some room for other reviewers :)

*twirls you happily* Oh,
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
, I'm so happy that you're liking it, and that their odd, off-balance interactions are working for you! Thank you very much for making my day. :)
I've read the first three chapters, and am again lured in by your wonderful writing style and invention. "Second Life" is one of my all-time favorites, and I've been anxious for another great novel-length tale from you. This is promising to be a worthy follow-up. Welcome back!
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thank you so much, Snapesbeatrice! I'm very happy that you are liking it!
I am loving this story so far, great chapter, I love the interaction between Hermione and Severus. You've characterized them so well. I look forward to future chapters.
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thank you so much! I'm really happy that you're liking it and that the characterizations are working for you. :)More quite soon!
We learned a lot in this chapter, thanks to Draco. Who, by the way, is a character that I don't usually like all that well. Your Draco is very much in character, but is just a little different. I am actually liking him here.I didn't expect Hermione to be working on the dissolution of the house system, but it isn't surprising, and even makes sense. I can see Snape's point of view though, that for an institution so steeped in tradition, it seems she wants to rip out the very core. And just what did he give Granger to warrant a two o'clock am knocking?I am very much looking forward to more!
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thank you

; I'm very glad you liked Draco. I've never written him in an SSHG setting before, so he was a challenge to me. I never really liked him either, and then I read some essays about him and had a change of heart. Still, though, he's a challenge to portray either way.I'm so happy that you are liking the story! Thank you very much!
Another great chapter. Your Snape is dead on, and I like this mature, in control Hermione. She isn't going to take any crap off of him, and I think in the end, that will be good for him.I like that you've chosen Pomona Sprout to be the colleague at Grimmauld Place with him. They don't really have a predefined relationship, so this doesn't come with the expectations and baggage that the combination of say,he and Dumbledore, or McGonagall does. She is pretty laid back and that is a nice contrast to his... Snapeness.I love how he is mad at her for allegedly picturing him naked, and now it is her fault that he will reciprocate. She's got her work cut out for her, that's for sure!
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thank you! It's true, Hermione is not going to put up with anything. ;)I totally agree about Pomona--she is the anti-Snape, and I hope that their interactions will be illuminating. I hope you continue to enjoy the story. Thank you for reading!!! xoxox
Oh my gosh, I wanted to do cartwheels through my living room when I saw a new fic from you. But then I reasoned that I might not have computer access in the hospital while I was recovering from a broken... whatever. So I didn't. I am so intrigued and already hooked on this. I won't point out any specifics because I read this hours ago before work and am just now getting the chance to respond. Just know that I was almost late to work because I refused to leave the house until the end of the chapter. This is a great start but I won't say more as I'm moving on to chapter two now...
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Oh, thank you so much,
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
. That really means a lot to me. But I'm very glad that you have no broken bones and were not late to work. ;)*twirls you* I hope you enjoy the rest!!
Loving this story! Different and really enchanting.
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thank you very much!!
I'm really enjoying this story. Quick question though, In this version why is Narcissa in Azkaban? Perhaps she was not asked by Riddle to check and see if Harry was alive? Or maybe it wasn't enough to keep her out of prison? Keep up the great story, I can't wait to see what comes next!
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
I'm glad you're enjoying it, Joyfulheart!Regarding Narcissa, I just don't think it was enough to keep her out of prison. As with the looting/destruction of the Manor that's in the backstory of this story... I think people who are in pain sometimes only want to see more pain. I think they were very hard on the Malfoys.I hope you continue to enjoy it! Thank you!!!

Hehehe. I know I could go read the rest on LJ, but I shall wait patiently, I think! I'm really loving this, though, especially Draco right now.
Author's Response: I'm so glad that you're liking it, Angel Mischa! Particularly Draco--this is the first time I've ever written him in an SSHG setting, so I'm very glad that he works.
And I'm kind of thrilled that you're reading it here. :) Thank you!

I've got to make an awful confession now and say that when this was first posted on the exchange (obviously before I knew it was you who'd written it!), I didn't really read it because I felt really unsure about the whole "boarding house" setting and where it would go, so I am so, so glad to see what you did with it here! Great to see Pomona in a supporting role. Is it wrong that I have some small hopes for Draco/Neville in the background?
Author's Response: That's not an awful confession! People don't read things on the exchange because they are untrusted all the time. I'm very grateful that you gave the story a chance here at TPP, and very happy that you are liking it. I'm afraid that your hopes for Draco/Neville shall be dashed, but I think, if you squint, that you'll see Draco/Someone. ;)
I can just see Draco and Harry "fighting." What fun it would be to be a fly on the wall, as long as I didn't get squished by one of those flying pieces of pottery. Now I can hardly wait to find out what Snape purchased for Hermione to express remorse for his regretful behavior.
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Hmmmm. Yes. I would like to see those fights. :)You will soon know, my friend! Thank you for reading!
I like how Draco is the teacher and Severus the student in the beginning as Draco shows him how to go about in this new world. And my heart broke a little when Severus expected the confrontation by the clerk to end with him being thrown out of the store. He has so little belief that he has a place in here. And now we know about Hermione's parents and how she became an orphan. How sad that after everything she did to save them they died without even a memory of her. How must that effect her now, the guilt she must carry. :(
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thank you very much, Magalena. Your sympathy for the characters is very moving to me.
I got a good giggle when he realized that Hermione could hear him when he was in the shower and might even be picturing him naked! And how dare she? Yet, he knows from now on whenever he hears her in the shower that's exactly what he is going to do. :-D
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
He does seem to be the king of the double standard. LOL!
Oh, I loved reading this during the exchange, but of course I had no idea who's it was. I'm terrible a guessing. Love, love, loved it and am happy to re-read it here. I had to laugh at Severus exploring his room and he's annoyed that Hermione's door is locked so he can't look into her room. The knob did not turn, which was both a relief and an annoyance to him. Did she usually lock the door to the bathroom, or had she done so to prevent him from entering her room? As if he had any interest in poking through her things. As if? that's exactly what he planned to do. LOL! The snoop.
Response from Lariope (Author of Killing Time)
Thank you, Magalena!!I'm terrible at guessing the exchange writers, too--I never even try anymore. I'm glad you laughed at Snape there--I did, too, when I wrote it. Thank you vry much for reviewing, even though you'd already read it!!
