AU from HBP. Severus is on his own side, but he needs to take down both Light and Dark to feel free from his two Masters. Hermione figures in his plot, but temptation may work both ways.

Magical Me:
Hiya. I'm tonksinger, mostly former author. I don't expect I'll be writing any more fanfiction, but I invite you to enjoy the stories posted here.
Reviews for Paradise Forsaken
Heh heh heh...I love Plotting!Severus...a "perk", indeed! And the interaction between him and Dumbledore was hilarious! I loved the line about Dumbledore's golem, You will never know how enjoyable it was to fling it from the top of the tower. And then to tell him the wine came from Lucius after he'd already consumed most of the glass... I look forward to seeing just how Severus intends to get as much as he can out of a bad situation!

Plotting!Severus is tons of fun to write. He's so good at acting that giving him conflict is easy, but still rough on him. Glad you like it!
Well, this is intriguing! I look forward to more. Wish I had a villa near Napoli to hide out in for a while.

LOL! Me too. A nice place to lounge and eat ots of pasta would be lovely...
I LOVE THIS STORY!!!!! THIS IS A COMPLETELY UNHELPFUL, UNCRITICAL REVIEW :-D:-D *CHEERLEADS* :-D

I LOVE THIS REVIEW!! THIS IS A REALLY HAPPY RESPONSE!! :p
Rule number one: anything Lockhart says is stupid. That totally belongs on a T-shirt. I actually feel bad for Ron. Unlike Hermione who can entertain herself for hours with books and other academia, his list of things to amuse himself while stuck in the cottage probably reads, "food, flying on my broom, and sex." Now, not only did she toy with him in the sex department and then cut hiim off, she is infringing on his broom shed wanking time. What a bitch! ;)I like that she is standing up for herself with when she is with Snape, although it isn't probably going to matter. She will get smoked in the end by his wily ways. I can't wait to see it unfold!

Hmm.. All I will say is that it's possible to get smoked but remain upright. Learning the kind of stuff he's teaching her does that to a person. *iz mysterious author*And I want that t-shirt. In lavender, with sparkly text.
Well, one can see why Hermione would momentarily forget about Ron. But until next week, back to reality. I hope the poor girl has the sense to realize that unless she spells it out for him, Ron most certainly won't realize she is in full research mode.

I think the poor lad is avoiding her as a rule at this point. :)
I love these stories where my feelings towards everyone are ambiguous. Snape-he is ultimatly a good guy, but he does things such as plan to seduce Hermione that are so wrong and only for his personal gain.Hermione-she is having sex with Ron because she is bored? I felt like she should at least have told him that she wasn't interested in a relationship and this was for recreational purposes only. And she is awfully ungrateful about things at the cottage when I am sure Dumbledore went to a lot of work for something that was not absolutely necessary for him to do. Still, she needs more to keep her intertained than constipated deer and a hormonal teenage boy!Ron- poor Ron. He is just being himself and the speech he gives her on the porch about not knowing how to handle her, I think that was totally heartfelt and honest and he doing the best he can. On the otherhand, Lavender must not have been hard to please if he is that bad, AND he has had practice. The comment about Hermione feeling the need to use a condom cracked me up!Dumbledore-He should know better than to lock these two up together. But, he had good intentions when he did so, so what can you do.Voldemort- ah, no ambiguity there. He all around give me the creeps.Great chapter!

I love this review. Seriously. You've nailed it. Even as I wrote this, I wasn't really rooting for any of these characters as such. They're all making some sort of major mistakes, and they'll have to pay for it at some point. The trick is making sure they can justify everything to themselves. Constipated deer. LOL.
Oh, I am thoroughly intrigued. I will agree with Hermione. Being locked up with one person for an extended period of time would make you go insane. I give them less than a week to be at each others throats, in part, because I suspect Ron will be after more than her throat. This was an amusing chapter, and I always love predictable Hermione. He specifically requested you receive them a week after his death—and no, Miss Granger, I don’t know why.” This cottage was designed and built by me, with occasional aid from house-elves (I apologize, Miss Granger). Ha!I do like the idea of the cottage set up for them by Dumbledore and his trusted colleague. Now where is said colleague? *looks forward to Hermione becoming a "perk"*

Hermione is predictable in a lot of ways, but then, most people are, once you get to know them. I heard somewhere that if you can't live with someone, you'll find out in three days of staying with them. Testing...
A very interesting start. I like how psudo-death has not changed the dynamic between the headmaster and our favorite professor. Off to find out more ...

Thanks for reviewing! Looking forward to what you think of the next chapters.
Hmm. You're making me have to think and it's making my brain hurt you minx. Good to have a story start with Sev NOT killing DD (even though in canon we know he did). Very interesting and looking forward very much to how the plot will develope. Best wishes, Love Ali xxxx.
