I'm a 30 something home-maker, writer and researcher. Harry Potter fanfiction is my passion and my great escape from everything. I am deeply in love with Severus Snape and he is the only man I would ever consider leaving my husband for. I am most fond of happy endings. Life is too full of angst and heartache, my dreams and thoughts need something more uplifting.
I was born in Sri Lanka and have lived in India, Poland and now, obviously the UK.
I love food, so many of my stories will have detailed descriptions of things I'm currently craving. I also love travelling, the arts and crafts, cooking, baking, oil painting, especially the pre-Raphaelites, literature and culture in general. My favourite colours are at present are royal purple, silver, emerald green, true red and fucshia. Colour is like music, it speaks silently to the soul when it needs it most.

Thank you. I'm so glad you liked it. It is always a pleasure to hear from a reader.
I can't believe I missed reading this all these years! I'm so glad I had a hg/ss craving after months of being away. I'd love to see another chapter at some point though.

Thank you. So glad you enjoyed it. Lovely to hear from you even after all this time. xxx
wtf howd he get there@?!? HE was the blanket?!
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Indeed, he was the blanket. This is in connection to the fact that he was an inanimagus and he needed to be called by name to break the enchantment.
lovely, just lovely! thanks and smoochies
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Glad you enjoyed it, my dear.
that cant be the end!!!!!!!!!!!! o.0
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
I must confess that I had planned on leaving it there, but a number of reviews later, I'm beginning to reconsider my decision.
I really enjoyed this and although I thought at first that he HAD somehow Transfigured himself into a lovely black cashmere blanket, you did successfully keep me wondering until the very end. I'm knitting a very colourful blanket at the moment. Could you fix it for me that it turns in to Severus...Rainbow Severus....methinks. Well done and one hundred points to the House of your choosing for such an original story. Best wishes, Love Ali xxxx.
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Thank you. If a blanket could turn into Severus, I'd love to have one too.
Very nice! A bit of follow-up, even a drabble, from Snape's POV would give a little more closure to this story :)
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
I am thinking about it and might consider it once I've made more headway on my two, longer stories.
I'm interested to know what he felt about being stashed in her beaded bag for so long.
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Yes, indeed. I bet he was furious. I can almost hear him say, 'typical, bloody Gryffindor.'
Very nice. Excellent.
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Thank you for both the stars and the review. Glad you enjoyed it.
I've never seen the Inanimagus concept before, so that was really interesting. Could open up a whole can of worms. Wonder if Snape would consider a can of baked beans as his Inanimagus form? ;)
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
I don't quite see him as a can of beans. It would leave him very vulnerable, easily used up, discared, eaten. Besides, there would be no way of healing, of mending.
You had me on the edge -- I didn't know if the blanket was going to end up like a Horcrux, taking over her. Thank you for letting it be a much happier ending! And I wouldn't mind a second chapter from his POV, showing us just when he became aware of her feelings and her presence, and how they ended up after his return. Thanks for the story!
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
You're very welcome. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the story. I am thinking of another chapter, but it will have to wait until I finish my other, longer stories [unless the muse leaves me again].
This one always brings me back, its so well done, and I do wish it was longer, thanks for a brilliant read.

Thank you. I loved writing it. I am sorry I've not responded to your review sooner. I've not been on this site and I didn't get an email telling me there was a review for some reason. Happy New Year.

You won't believe me but this is the thrid time I've read this. and I love it each time.
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Thank you. I do that too with stories I like so I totally understand. Just chuffed that you think my story is good enough for a re-read :)
Fantastic story
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Thank you so much :)
At first it was a little creepy, but in the end it was full of joy.
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Thank you. I'm so glad you think so. I did want it to be dark, but not too dark, so glad the ending helped make it work.
An interesting premise! I had a treasured blanket as a child and it definitely was a haven on more than one occasion. Would love a sequel from Severus' point of view - hint, hint!PS Just a technical point - wool/cashmere is ALWAYS washed in cold water, or it shrinks horribly and loses its softness. Cold is also the way to go for blood stains, because heat "sets" them.
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Right - I didn't know about the washing technique, thank you so much for the hint. I shall attend to it in the story ASAP.I'm glad you enjoyed the premise. I am toying with the notion of another chapter so it might actually be written at some point.
Interesting story, interesting idea. Good work. (By the way, a good soak in boiling water and a hard scrub is going to make that blanket into a tiny piece of felt. Just saying.)
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Yes, I do realise that error in the washing technique, it's been picked up before. I shall attend to it ASAP.
Very good imagery. I could really feel Hermione's pain. I would have loved to see the next morning thou, but this ended just fine.
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Thank you. I'm actually considering Severus' POV, so there might be another part to the story at some point.
Loved the story! Knew the blanket was important to bringing Severus back but didn't expect it to be quite like that! Severus' POV would certainly be enlightening, I hope you do that!
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Thank you so much. I feel like I really am being compelled now to write more on the story. I promise to look into it once my other two longer fics are complete.
So when I started reading this I was all, "oh of course the blanket is going to be him..." but then about half way through, you had me convinced otherwise. Bravo :) Me likey.
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Thank you so much. I'm glad it wasn't as utterly predictable as it could have been.
oh that was delicious - may we please have a second helping???? LOVED IT!
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Thank you so much. I shall think about it seriously, I promise. I'm really keen to finish my other two longer fics though first.
I liked your story, thank you for writing it.
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. It's always nice to know.
Nicely done :)
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Thank you. I'm so pleased to receive your nod of acknowledgement. I loved your story and felt I had to show my appreciation for your vision.
Great job -- I only wish there were more! I too would love to know what had happened, and how. I love the way you imagine Hermione's postwar sense of disorientation and her need to regroup in her own way.
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Thank you for the review and the stars. Yes, I always think it's a pity that's glossed over so many times. I am considering writing more, but I must confess that if I do, it won't be just yet. x
Now that's a great thing to wake up to.
Response from kittyperry (Author of The Black, Woollen Blanket)
Hmm... I agree. Lucky girl, our Hermione.
