I picked up the Harry Potter fandom around the time the first movie came out and began writing fanfic early 2005 after discovering the adult online community. I identify most closely with the Slytherins and you will see my taste in writing lends me to writing about Slytherins more often than not. In addition to fanfiction, I also make fanvids on the Harry Potter fandom. I'm a Perfect Imagination acredited beta and am willing to help authors. My main 'ship interests are Snape/OC (never really got into the SS/HG pairing) and LM/any female (with HG as a new favorite). I have dabbled in RL/OC and RL/NT and am okay with those pairings. I generally shy away from slash, just not my thing. For updates on my writing, check out my Live Journal

Clever Severus with the poison ploy. Darn, too bad there wasn't a nice way to get rid of Lucius after they had the poison info.

Yeah, it would have been nice to get rid of Lucius, but there wasn't the opportunity then. I'm glad you liked that poison moment. I thought that was sheer genius to make Lucius think he'd been poisoned to gain his cooperation. Of course, that could come back to haunt Severus. or not.
Though I know this is to be a platonic relationship, I find myself expecting Severus to begin having tender feelings for Aurelia, his nurse, his doctor, his rescuer, his "family". I'm also expecting that Lucius having remained loyal to V won't be affected by the poison, we'll see...

Yup, you'll see what happens. As for Severus, having a real friend, of either sex, is definitely a new thing for him.
Too cruel - his sight and his magic. At least he has a the rest of the family to annoy and distract him...
Response from phoenix (Author of Wounded)
Yes, I was quite cruel to him. I'll admit that I can be a real Of course, we all know Severus and that he is not the type to just accept bad news.
I appreciate that Aurelia is a Slytherin. So rare to find a Slytherin portrayed as something other than nasty; we all aren't evil! I was surprised that ever vigilent Severus drank V's potion. But I imagine he had quite a few things on his mind at the time. Nice idea, it definitely seems like something V would plan.

I liked the idea of a Slytherin that wasn't a Death Eater. While it seems all DEs are Slytherin, I didn't think it had to work both ways. After all, there are other ways to get into a postion of authority and respect.
As for the potion, well, when V is passing the chalice and everyone's drinking from it, it's kind of hard to say no without getting in trouble.
Glad you are enjoying this so far.
Interesting beginning. I'm looking forward to what we will learn about your Severus without the overwhelming complication of romance. Hmm, he's blind for now, thus vulnerable and perhaps easier to befriend?
Response from phoenix (Author of Wounded)
Thanks, kari. Setting it out as non-romantic in the beginning does introduce a whole new dynamic to work with. You'll see where it goes.
Interesting story. Lupin & Snape traveling together that should quite interesting.
Response from phoenix (Author of Wounded)
Thanks, Kira. Yup, those two are not going to make good traveling companions unless there is some serious give and take. :)
