Alan Rickman obsessed ex-civil servant now living the good life in France. I only write in the good ship SS/HG. However, if you think that the only way these two can get together is by some sort of forced marriage, 'binding' or whatever, don't read my stories. You will be disappointed.

danngit! was snape the bed?!? I just read one fic last night where i think he was a blanket hermione slept with...lol odd coincidence!
Response from melusin (Author of Beauty and the Bed)
yes, he was
Hmm, a rather nasty gouge, as in one made by a snake, perhaps? I love how he kept the nightmares away before starting the naughty dreams. Makes me wonder all kinds of things about what his plan was, but it doesn't really matter because he is about to return with her coffee.
Response from melusin (Author of Beauty and the Bed)
yes, don't think he had a plan specifically - he'd been an inanimate object for a long time - may explore this more if i ever get around to writing a sequel.thankd for reviewing
Response from WriterMerrin (Reviewer)
Well, when I say 'plan' I am thinking more along the lines of him wanting to hide for a while and possibly finding his way back to a wizarding household to spy or something, not that I thought he was looking for Hermione. But I'll go with whatever you write ;)
Wow! Great one-shot! Thanks for writing this! I hope you keep writing and please know that I'll keep reading.

Love it!!! What a wonderful short story! And especially the not-so-ambiguous ending ~!~....Great job!
Response from melusin (Author of Beauty and the Bed)
thanks
Wow, what an awesome way to hid from the world. Although I would think being a bed might not be very pleasing for long... until Hermione laid down on him, of course.
Response from melusin (Author of Beauty and the Bed)
yes, desperate times, desperate measures
so I'm not trying to be a brat about this, but I want to know--what happens to the wizard when someone alters the inanimagus form? (ie fixing the scratch, wood filler and sanding). and why is there no mattress when hermione wakes up if she adds the mattress? I think this is a cool idea, it's just that some things don't seem to quite add up for me.
Response from melusin (Author of Beauty and the Bed)
no, you're probably right, but that was the challenge.perhpas he couldn't transform because he was so battered and she fixed him up. perhaps the mattress was his clothes - anything's possible with magic ;)
I have bought a number of bed frames, but never one like that. Clearly I am living in the wrong world. Delicious though not sure I'd want to read it miles out in a foggy deserted countryside; there's a shiver along with the pleasure!
Response from melusin (Author of Beauty and the Bed)
thanks, though i never intented it to be creepy - just turned out that way
A bit sinister invading her dreams like that, but I'm so glad he isn't going to remain a bed forever. It would have been very painful if she had stripped and limed him!
Response from melusin (Author of Beauty and the Bed)
perhaps so - or perhaps he'd fallen in love with her and wanted to make sure still be welcome if he transformed backyes, he'd have turned out ash blond
Response from quaffswinegaily (Reviewer)
And that would have been a whole different character!
He he, nice. Thanks for sharing!
