This was lovely - a very good interpretation of the Marriage Law and wonderful language and imagery. :)

Very sweet story! I really liked this line a lot:She danced like a leaf caught in the wind. And I was that wind.

Response from Hechicera (Author of My Wedding Day)

I loved that line too. Thank you for reading! (JuneCooper)

You did an incredible job translating this story. There are some lines that defy translation and that are so much more evocative in Spanish, but you achieved a wonderful thing here. No me sorprende para nada que lo hayas logrado!

Response from Hechicera (Author of My Wedding Day)

Oh, wow, thanks--that's high praise indeed! It's so nice to hear from someone who can appreciate not only the story, but the translation job as well!

I'm not particularly into reading SS/HG stories at the moment, but this caught my attention and made me change my mind.  I loved the fact that it was written in the first person from Snape's POV - it really made it seem real.Parts of it were so moving and truly beautiful, yet also heartbreaking; especially Snape's low self-opinion/self-esteem and the fact that he didn't seem to think himself worthy of Hermione (or indeed any woman.) I think this low opinion seems to fit in well with canon Snape as well, in that everyone assumes it would be terrible for Hermione to marry him, assuming he's such a heartless brute - something that really irks me time & time again as I have never believed this. Evidence of the sensitive, tender man is always there in JKR's reminder (whether we like it or not) of his deep love & constant feelings for Lily (even to the extent of his Patronous changing to a doe like hers.)'I'm one lucky bastard' he says quite frequently, but, IMHO, I know who I think is the luckiest! Thanks for translating/sharing your friend's lovely story! :-)

Response from Hechicera (Author of My Wedding Day)

This is June, and thank you! It's good to see my story had such a good reception. I wanted to give Severus a little happiness in his life...

Oooooohhhhhhh. I'm sooooooo not surprised that you chose to translate this. It's a very enjoyable read!

Response from Hechicera (Author of My Wedding Day)

Isn't it, though? She has a chaptered fic that I'm working on next. I do think she should publish them under her name, though--she should be getting the reviews, not me.

Response from karelia (Reviewer)

Depending on how her English is, you could set it up with both your emails. As a translator by profession, I think it's nice if you get the reviews, too. :)

This was really nice.  I thought it wasn't going to turn out well when I started reading, despite the romance genre.  But I love where it went.  I think things are going to work out just fine for them.  So, bravo to June for writing such a lovely story, and bravo to you for making it available to us.

Response from Hechicera (Author of My Wedding Day)

Thank you for this review, it means a lot to me.
