I loved your story. Thank you.

This is really a briliant story. I've been virtually devouring it last night, up to this chapter at least. The friendship between Lucius and Severus is wonderful, and the way they bicker and banter delicious. The stately home idea is brilliant as ist the way the mages are dealing with it. I loved the comparisons between Ron and Harry as friends versus Severus and Lucius.
Leave to Hermione to come up with the solution, but it takes a small village to coerce convince the PM to acquiesce to their all too reasonable demands. Funny that Malfoy Industries has a hand in the enterprise as well.
As enjoyable as the action has been, I also like your treatment of Hermione's conflict, love of one wizard and a strong attraction to the other.
Things really got out of hand. I can't believe Severus' cover was almost blown, and Hermione injured. But it gave them perspective and Hermione determination to come up with a solution... quickly.
And that child! You've done so well in describing her horrendous behavior it made me long for the days when children were seen and not heard. I like the suggestion of a boarding school for her.
Your story continues to enchant. I never expected Lucius to have such a deft hand with Transfigurations, nor Severus to be such a brutal competitor in Quidditch.
Once again Hermione proves why she's the brightest witch of her age. She realizes the PM doesn't really want money.
Only a bored Slytherin like Lucius would think it fun to steal a portrait. But after foiling the British government, he'll need a new diversion.
This is the point at which I tell you that I had a marvellous time reading your story, and I desperately wish there was more. But I guess I'll just have to go through the rest of your work posted here at TPP :)
Lucius's patronus is perfect. absolutely perfect.
And also--this is silly, but could you please write a oneshot or something about how the Prime Minister ends up working for Malfoy Enterprises? Because I'm dead curious and I want to know whose idea that was, and what he does, and whether they let him forget about his past or just tease him all the time.
I love the mental image of snape teaching himself to raise one eyebrow. I did that myself at one point...
Brilliant job solving the energy crisis and the tax problem in one fell swoop! I wish real life worked like that. Just one thing--isn't it one of the laws of transfiguration that you can't turn things into food? does this apply to firewhiskey?
As sad as it is to admit, Hermione does realize she's out grown Harry and Ron, moving on to bigger and better wizards.
Their subversive distractions, the Random Erasure charm, Phantasm hex, doxy eggs, were truly inspired brilliance.
*runs off the see the next chapter jewel*
You hit the nail on the head: Hermione is an undervalued treasure that her so-called friends, Harry, Ron, etc. took for granted. Even the confrontation of Gryffindor vs. Slytherin in the tavern - was it their protective instincts kicking in, or just a low-grade pissing match? Regardless, she is firmly in the company of men who know a good thing when it falls into their laps, and hopefully they will continue to shower her with praise and affection.

*snigger* Malfoy reads the Times? Look there!
Hermione really has a hard job to do, and it sounds only too realistic. Funny as well, at least for us readers!
And where the bloody hell had his office gone? *rofl* Doesn't really seem to be his day, does it? And to topp it all off - the PMs great idea. Oh joy.
Great chapter! :o)
Lucius, the yenta! I think he might benefit from the Gryffindor/Slytherin union as well.
Why didn't Severus suggest Hermione take the computer back to the store from where she purchased it? Surely it's still under warrantee.
In a matter of hours, Hermione went from despair of her friends out-growing their need for her, to the joy of finding a purpose again, albeit as den mother to another pair of wayward boys... well, men really. Perhaps there's a silver lining to being taxed up the wazoo.
This chapter was a joy. There's no better way to spend a Saturday night than at home with two rakish, handome men, eating take-away, drinking too much wine and watching classic movies. I adore My Fair Lady.

Interesting start and fascinating plotbunny! I thought first that Snape is hiding among the muggles, but obviousle he doesn't. It would be _extremely_ interesting to learn how he came about that job!
I'm really enjoying the characterisation, too.
So funny and so many tiny gems in this chapter. Hermione arranging for Matthew to join the bacchanal and preparing Arthur to such a degree than Molly seems practically stoic.
I can only imagine what it will be like when the PM goes up against Lucius. He's lost much, not his wealth, however. I don't see him suffering further injury and acquiescing to taxes without a fight.
Poor Lucius. An outcast in society and still suffering Narcissa's wrath long after she abandoned him. Maybe Snape will take pity and give him a Biro for the crossword puzzle.
And what dreadful plan has taken seed in the PM's cash-strapped mind? Tax the wizarding world? Sounds good on paper, though, but to foil this plan will force Snape and Hermione to work together for long hours, late at night.
Oh, what gem is this? More like a treasure chest with twelve clever chapters.
I love how Mr. Snape has the same intimidating effect in the Muggle world, especially on government officials and staff. If Mr Spy Placed In The Muggle Government cant' keep the PM in line, then nobody can.
Hopefully Hermione can keep Arthur on a short leash and prevent him from distraction by shiny Muggle artifacts.

Splendid! Love the snippets at the end. :)
She finally worked it out, thanks to Luna! :)
Should have Transfigured the waste into... chocolate! :)
Eww. Someone send that child to a decent boarding school... for the next ten years! :)
Research to robbery in three easy steps! :)
Hehe. The PM will learn not to mess with Slytherins. :)
Poor Hermie is all overcome! :)
Very noble of Severus to stay another three years to remove Voldemort's influence.
Mock, Snipe and Grumble is the perfect name for their publishing house. You are so funny. Thank you very much for this story!
