Reviews for Snape & Sympathy
How lovely, thank you! Placetne, Magistra?
While i was hoping this would have a bit more of the porn from porn with plot, i still enjoyed it as it is. It would be super to have a follow up short to this, if you were so inclined, about their time at her flat, or subsequent dates, ect.
I really enjoyed this one shot from beginning to end. Thank you for yet another twist on their relationship.
That was a very nice piece. I'd be glad for a sequel if you feel the muse.
i like how it ended and where. delightful story. thanks and mucho smoochies
i loved it. you should do a sequel with ron walking in on her and snape weeks later asking for her to take him back, and gets a shock of a lifetime. Im sooo not a Ron fan and i love ron bashing fics LOL. great story looking forward to seeing more Kelly
Wonderful dialogue, great characterizations! I'd love to see this continue!
I absolutely loved this! Their banter is really fun, and I think that the venue in which they find themselves seems a reasonable place for the two of them to meet up. They are kind of pathetic in their sad little coffee house, him celebrating (celebrating?) his birthday alone, and she brushing up on her feminine literature in a man bashing party of one. But the story doesn't have a sad, pathetic feeling to it. It almost seems fate that their situations brought them together on this exact night, and their mutual lonliness gave them a foundation on which to build something more.
I think that this ended at the perfect place. It doesn't feel like more needs to be said. And whether they never spend another minute apart in a happily ever after scenario, or they just have a really fun time on this particular evening, I finished, feeling content that they had found each other on their night of need.
That having been said, if a chapter appeared detailing their activities for the rest of the evening, I certainly wouldn't complain ;)
I liked this. Too bad Hermione stuck with Ron for so long, but I see her point. You want to give it your all. And she's found something that will hopefully be so very much better.
I like the way he defuses her anger so she can be free to be herself. Good job.
I loved the dialogue, so witty
What a lovely fic. I rather liked the interplay between the two.
A nice little scene.
I hated for it to end.
Well I, for one, wish it had been a little bit longer, if only to see if Ron was going to be hexed. ^_^ Good Story!

*grin* Oh, I imagine he left—short attention span and all. Though maybe he'll come back in the morning and be shocked out of his wits by rumpled Snape. (^_~)
Well, regardless of whether you wrote what you had intended to write, I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing!
This was brilliant, absolutely brilliant! I just loved your characters and the dialogue you made, very well done:-))
I thought that the exchange between them was brilliant, and the fact that it did not become a "Porn w/out Plot" made it better, IMO. Snape's birthday present was late, but a gem, and greatly appreciated, none-the-less.So... Two thumbs up!

Thank you; I'm glad you enjoyed.Yes, plot is definitely to be preferred; it's just that I seem to have a block that prevents me from writing smut/love scenes, which I was finally hoping to overcome. (^_^;)
That was exquisite.
The ending was perfect, just a hint of a beginning , which was all that was needed. :)
A conversation that could of happened in real life for many I'm sure. Beautifully written, shame it had to end without the proof of his sincerity in the bedroom but our imaginations can fill that bit in.
one of your most interesting stories:) I would happily read more but it works as it stands. I especially like the titles "Magister" and Magistra" and that Hermione was reading Dorothy Sayers who is a hero of mine!
Brava!!!!

Definitely a keeper to be added to my Favorites! I think you achieved your aims admirably... I enjoyed seeing a Snape that has mellowed just a touch with age, yet still with an acerbic edge, which was most refreshing. As for Hermione, I like that she is not so sure of herself, but she's clearly strong enough to hold her own with her former professor.About Ron: Good God, I should say 10 years with ickle Ronniekins would be enough to drive any woman with half a brain completely around the bloody blue bend!
Response from Ladymage Samiko (Author of Snape & Sympathy)
Thank you…Yes, I would think any substantial amount of time with Ron would drive one either to murder or suicide… with Hermione, probably the former. (^_^;)
Oh this was a lovely piece. I really liked the conversation - it was so intimate in its own way - and full of snark and observations about the world. I don't know whether they interacted after the end of the war in this piece, but the conversation felt true - very reminiscent of those you have with friends over a cup of tea or on public transport. And they don't have to be good friends too, just a person you could have a bond with - and that's what you've written here. Loved Snape's Sherlock Holmes wit at the beginning, and the idea that it was his birthday making him maudlin - I could see it happening.
I liked where it ended too - doesn't need to have sex and all to be great. You've left a promise of something beginning at the end.
I like it! I wish there was more!
Very sweet. I wouldn't mind learning that hex from Severus it would come in handy. *GRINS*
Response from Ladymage Samiko (Author of Snape & Sympathy)
(^_~) True… so many men who need an object lesson…
Thank you for this lovely little story. The ending is perfectly allright here for the tone and pace of the story. They will have tea and conversation and if Severus finds on of Ron's socks behind a cushion he will discreetly, wandlesslly and wordlessly vanish it.
