Sorry! Next chpater is already written, though, so won't be long in coming. Thank you : )
NO!!!!! I was so happy after the last chapter. I was dreaming about him kissing her hand. And now you pull this! I hope you have another chapter soon, so this problem can be resolved.I love this story. It's a delight to read. I just hate it when I feel as bad as the characters. :)

I will be uploading the next chapter soon, and the problem will be resolved, one way or another. Thanks for reviewing,

Now the dam has broken it's just a matter of time...:)
Response from Hannah_1888 (Author of The Sun is Often Out)
Definitely : )
Awesome chapter! I love how she didn't have to develop some contrived way to find and wound up getting a glimpse of him in more ways than one. Well done!

Thank you! This was a difficult one to write, so happy to hear you liked it.
She's not helping her confusion, but I doubt he is used to the most basic of human comforts.
Response from Hannah_1888 (Author of The Sun is Often Out)
She's not helping herself at all! And I think you are right re. human comforts. Thanks for reviewing : )
YAY!!! That's the best I can do. I'm really loving this.
Response from Hannah_1888 (Author of The Sun is Often Out)
Thank you! Hope you like the next chapter as well.
Why do I think that her "crush" is not going to be squashed anytime soon??????
Response from Hannah_1888 (Author of The Sun is Often Out)
It's certainly going to cause her some probs : )
I absolutely love this story. I hope you don't abandon it! Please, don't! My favorite, favorite SS/HG fics are the ones were she returns as a professor and he's headmaster. I LOVE THEM! And they aren't many good ones out there. This story is wonderful. Funny - I've cracked up quite a few times (once waking the dog) and I just really love how easy it is to read. Although that means I've sped through the chapters... LOL. Eagerly awating your next installment!
Response from Hannah_1888 (Author of The Sun is Often Out)
Don't worry this story will not be abandoned, in fact, it is complete -- it's just being beta-read before posting. I also love stories where she returns as a professor and he's headmaster, which is why I decided to try and write one myself. Hope you enjoy the next part : )
I've often wondered how Hogawarts students manage with such little muggle education. They're expected to write long essays, yet they left muggle school at 11 years old! I'm glad someone has finally addressed that problem.Great story, can't wait for more!
Response from Hannah_1888 (Author of The Sun is Often Out)
Yes, it seems to me rather harsh to expect eleven year olds to have such skills, as I know I couldn't have written such essays at 11.Thank you for reading : )
Love that you mentioned the essay thing. It kills me that the students are expected to write intelligent essays at the age of eleven with no further teaching in English. :)
Response from Hannah_1888 (Author of The Sun is Often Out)
Exactly! I couldn't write such essays when I was eleven, not at all.
she makes some very valid points. if such muggle-loving maniacs as mr. weasley get it wrong the whole thing needs revising. also the plan for additional 3r's teaching. good job! thanks and mucho smoochies

Thank you for reviewing. Glad you are liking it : )
I love how you make Snape human, yet he is still in character.
Response from Hannah_1888 (Author of The Sun is Often Out)
I'm glad you said that because I had wondered whether this take on Snape might be construed as out-of-character. I usually justify it by saying it's after the war, no Voldemort etc., so while it may not be everyone's cup of tea, this is one way I would like to think of him, had he survived.
Another great chapter! I found this idea fascinating: "there is a lack of creativity within our world that hinders progress,"I've always thought that any species that had an 'adaptation' as powerful as magic could never go extinct. However, your comment has left me food for thought, for I also believe that creativity is at the root of progress and evolution.Thank you so much for writing such a refreshing and well thought out take on magic!
Response from Hannah_1888 (Author of The Sun is Often Out)
Thank you for your reviews! Really glad to hear that you are enjoying this story. I don't expect I am the first person to have used this kind of take on magic, but it has always struck me that magic might make people lazy -- I know it would me! : )
Watching Hermione deal with her crush is adorable, especially the fact that she knows she has a problem.
Response from Hannah_1888 (Author of The Sun is Often Out)
Thank you! She'll have more to deal with soon : )
This is nicely written.
I'm enjoying your plot and the touches of humour.
"Snape’s eyes glittered for a moment and he spoke once more, rather flippantly. ‘Besides, if nowhere suitable is available for a makeshift Potions laboratory, I’m sure we can find you an abandoned bathroom somewhere.’"
*grins*
Bravo!
Wonderful, wonderful start!
I really enjoyed your first chapter. Snape and Hermione's portrayal seemed to be very accurate. There's nothing I like more than good characterization!
This made me giggle: ‘Ah, yes, well, Severus felt I would be better placed to discuss this with you; he’s not one for wooing potential employees.’
Well done, dear author!
Ah, it seems our dour Headmaster will find himself alone in that huge old castle on Christmas, yes? Too bad she can't invite him to tag along with her. Or will she?
Response from Hannah_1888 (Author of The Sun is Often Out)
Yep, he'll be alone, but we will see how things go... ; )
I am in love with it especially towards the end in how Severus was acting. Quite intrigued to see what comes from it, knowing that Hermione witnessed such a very personal and private matter. Please do continue.
Response from Hannah_1888 (Author of The Sun is Often Out)
Thank you for reviewing -- new chapter is now up : )
Sigh. That was wonderful. There's a part two right? Right?
I loved their banter and the post-war Snape: reserved, a bit shy, funny.
Great job. Thanks for sharing!!!
A rather sad, stressful chapter. Hopefully happiness will soon abound.
Two steps forward....and now back.
Poor Severus.
Damn Harry.
Sigh.
OMG!!! First using each others first names NOW a kiss on the hand!!! *fans self* Oh my. *waggles eyebrows*
This is awesome.
Here, have some cookies for another lovely chapter.
Well, now that the scab has been pulled off the pus can seep out.
Great chapter!
