Reviews for Professing the Professor
I thoroughly delightful one shot.
This was a great read! I loved the driving lesson! The rest was pretty steamy! *loves*
LOL she took his wand so he gave her his OTHER one
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
*snicker* Glad you liked that....
love this story.but can you tell me the meaning of this “Blood of virgin,” he began, “And lover’s seed...” “In ecstasy taken, Will age impede.” is it a binding ceremony?I guess the "Will age impede" messes with me. will age stop? impede get in the way...
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
Ah-ha! See, that's why I should have used a beta. I didn't explain what that spell was or why it was used very well, did I? It was meant to be a way to collect a de-flowered virgin's blood. (Someday, I should re-write this one.)
And 'Will age impede' is a backwards way of saying it will impede (or slow down/stop) age.
Response from chyara (Reviewer)
i rather liked it. loli was wondering if it was meant to bind them together... lolthough that could just be my ss/hg need to see them together...i am pretty new to HP Fanfic. I guess that would make me an SS/HG "shipper" getting used to the lingo.. though haven't figured out what AU means...lol
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
It took me some time to grasp all the lingo, so don't worry. AU means Alternate Universe, which basically means that you take the characters out of the normal sort-of believeable situation and/or setting. For example, one of my other stories, Garden of Eden, is really AU. This one ... well, it is a bit AU because Snape driving a car and Hermione being the one to teach him how to drive is really highly unlikely in the HP universe. :)
Response from chyara (Reviewer)
you know with this story line you could make a series out of it...lolwell done!

Here I am again to re read this ficlet.Still wonderful!
When Hermione threw his wand out the window I laughed so hard I hemorrhaged. By the end of the story, however, I was a-flush in an entirely different way.Deeeeeeelicious story! Makes me ravenous for this to continue, as I want to go on savoring the spicy dynamic between these two. Especially love the unapologetically aggressive Severus."More," I murmur incoherently.

It feels like ages since I wrote this. Your review makes me want to go read it again! Hermorrhaging?
So well-done and enjoyable. Funny (I smiled all the time while I was reading) and hot. Very amusing premise!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
I believe PlaidPooka is responsible for the premise. This was the first challenge I ever tried, so I'm glad you found it a good read!
woop! that was really really really good!! hehe, please do write a sequal!!!
Nice story but needs Brit picking. A Citroen DS is a big car - were you thinking of a 2CV or a Dyane? On those two the gear stick is in the dashboard by the way - they are really quirky and not recommended for learning to drive in!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
LOL! Well, I did mean the smaller model. I had looked up the car on the Internet when I wrote this, and it was supposed to be a classic model from the 50s or 60s. Of course, I had no idea the darn stick shift was in the dash. I wouldn't have known that was even a possibility, until I got my new car last month and the darn thing is below the radio on the dash. (Sheesh. Convenient, but too easy to knock out of gear.)
I guess you are right. I should pay a little more attention to details like that. A brit picker would have been a wise choice. I don't think I was very aware way back when... I'm much better now. I hope it didn't kill the story for you.
That was really good
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
Thank you!!
Great story. Sequal?
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
Glad you liked it. I had so much fun writing it at the time. If you enjoy this challenge, may I also recommend PlaidPooka's Let It Snow (viewstory.php?sid=205) and JadeOrchid's Fore! Play and a Hole in One (viewstory.php?sid=267).
As for a sequel. Well, depends on what he wants to drive next.
I did enjoy your story, but as others have noticed you do need to britpic it as it just doesn't sound right with the American terms, and the driving terms are just so different, I am afraid......Here are the ones I spotted for future reference, hope you don't mind!Seat release stick = seat release levergas pedal = accelerator [pedal] but the word pedal not often used. You would use it on the first occasion when pointing out where the pedals are: "That's the accelerator pedal" but thereafter, "put your foot on the accelerator", for example.stick shift car = manual carstick shift = gearsshifting stick = changing gearshift to second = change to second, or change up to second [going from 1-2]; similarly, changing down from 2-1emergency break = handbrakeapplying the emergency brake = using the handbreak to make an emergency stopkilometres = miles in the UKtire = tyreSpare tire in the trunk = spare tyre in the boot
Response from jenles (Reviewer)
Alas, I see I can't spell!applying the emergency brake = using the handbrake [not break!] to make an emergency stop.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
Ah! Thank you. I wrote this about four years ago. Back then I wasn't into briticizing my stories. I do much better now. I am going to save this review notification in my inbox and star it. I need to revise this story anyway. Maybe I'll be able to do it over the holidays.

hee hee hee. that was really funny. Loved it!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
Thank you! (Poor Snape ... well, sort of.)
lol! That was excellent! I was laughing the whole way through the driving lesson. (although I had mini-winces about things like 'gas pedal' and 'kilometres per hour', but I'm a big girl and I know what you're on about, so I'll live.) You also write fabulous smut. Thank god Albus always has to meddle, or my evenings would be so dull!
BTW, Sev's initial outfit reminded me of the Edwardian driving apparel, with the gloves and cap. I'm glad he went with the Mr Darcy look in the end. ;) The classics are classics for a reason!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
Glad I was able to entertain, from winces to laughter. ;)
Hilariousness + smut! Perfect combination!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
Thanks. Happy you like it!
Seriously funny ... loved the smut too!
lol :)
I absolutly loved it!! My favorite of the bunch!
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
Ah! I see you've found more of my SS/HG quickies. ;) Happy you are enjoying them!
This is great. I didn't have anywhere near as much fun learning how to drive.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
Neither did I. Too bad. Maybe I should decide to forget and learn all over again.
Read 9 June 2008. Loved this. Thanks for a great story.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
Read your review same date. *lol*I really need to make revisions to this one next. I think there were too many Americanisms... I could probably make it even steamier as well.
that was excellent. i believe i've read it before. always good to read again.
i had to hit random fic a few times. southernwitch's stories kept popping up. my first thought was self promoting. second thought - i've read all those. but apparently she seems to think i need to read them again. ;)
waiting for new adventures NSS
Wow....I never had a driving lesson quite like that before.
Very nice!
I never knew learning to drive a car was so sexual. Old Albus at it again. Brilliant.Tamara
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
Oh, Albus always has his hand in the cookie jar. Can't get rid of the old bugger. Poor Sev.
Oh, yay, notsosaintly. That was beautiful. Thank you for writing.
I loved re-reading this. Brilliant.
Very well done. I loved her trying to teach him to drive. Hilarious. Ending was great too.
Response from notsosaintly (Author of Professing the Professor)
Glad you liked the story, even though it's one of my rougher ones. LOL
Shot gun!
