Voldemort is dead. As others around her comb through the bodies and help the wounded, Hermione Granger thinks of only one wizard. A wizard who gave everything and died without anything to show for it, but the lives of those who survived because of him. A wizard who deserved a second chance; something Hermione would go to great lengths to make that happen.

Seriously, Echo is my real first name lol. For those who are actually curious, I was named after Echo Sackett in the 'Sackett Family Series' written by Louis La'mour. My mom wanted to name me 'Jennifer', but my she had already chosen my brother's name and dad insisted. I have to say, growing up, I hated my name. Now I LOVE it. If anything, its a great conversation opener in most situations lol.
Anyways, I have been a member of the HP FanFiction community since I stumbled across it in October of 2006. I had never heard of fan-fiction at that time... the story I found was called 'The Unseemly Proposal' - a Dramione. I thought it would be a waste of my time... but it got me hooked on fan-fiction. December 2006 I posted the first chapter of CHANGES UNFORSEEN, my own Dramione, which was also the FIRST thing I had ever written...(not counting forced essays and such in my school days.) Needless to say its snowballed since then and I have five seemingly popular WIP's that my Wonderful Beta SU has perfected and made into actual read-able stories! Yay for everyone, right? lol.
A SPEACIAL THANK YOU TO EVERYONE (SU!) WHO HELPED ME ACHEIVE 'APRIL 2009 FEATURED STORY'! I LOVE YOU GUYS! *HUGS*

Sigh. Poor Hermione. Really, that was unconscionable.
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thanks for reading! *HUGS*
How sad for Hermione. Well, at least the worst is over (isn't it?)Now that she is back with Snape, it will be interesting to see how things progress between them.
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Yes it will. I have....plans for them lol. *HUGS*
wow, azkaban has only improved minimally. How anyone can keep from going completely mad in isolation is beyond me.Excellent story so far.
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thank you for reading and reviewing! *HUGS*
WOW! I couldn't believe the condition Hermione was in when she arrived in Minerva's private office. The conditions of her stay in Azkaban were horrible, and I hope she gains her strength back very quickly. Poor Hermione. I'm looking forward to the first meeting between Severus and Hermione when she is conscious. Thanks for this update, and I hope RL is kind to you and your writing!Beth
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Lol... thank you so much for reading and reviewing... I often wish that RL is kind to my writing as well ;) *HUGS*
Enjoying this! Please keep the updates coming!
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thank you. So sorry for the waiting... but I am engaged and it kinda takes over, the whole researching... planning... its all a bit much, you know? *HUGS*
wow, can't wait for the first post-azkaban interaction between hermione and severus =D
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Its going to be the main course... Can't wait to share it with you guys!
Wow, glad Hermonie is out of that awful place. I just hope Severus won't be too hard on her once she has recovered or even during her recovery for that matter. Look forward to another chapter
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thank you for reading! *HUGS*
YAY! Thanks for this new chapter. I felt so sorry for Hermione as she struggled to climb the stairs ahead of the Unspeakables. I can imagine how fear of the unknown would take all her energy, let alone climbing to her cell.At least she has the minimum needed for survival, and I hope remembering that because of her sacrifice, Severus has survived. Perhaps that will give her the strength to endure the next two months without becoming too depressed. When she returns to Hogwarts and her year of working with the Potions master, I hope that one day Severus will ask her why she risked everything to save him. I'm looking very forward to this. Good luck with NaNoWriMo!Beth
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thank you so much for reading... and enjoying. *HUGS* ;)
Wonderful chapter, I was so excited to see this fic had an updated, and I can't wait to read more. This story has so much potential and you are doing a great job. I hope to see another update soon.
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thank you sooo much. I love reviews like this. Chapter 11 has been sent ot my beta... so it will appear soon. Now off to write chapter 12! *HUGS*
It's nearly Easter. The bunnies might turn up then! Good chapter! :)
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Took a bit longer then easter, but they are back! Look for more soon! *HUGS*
I do hope your bunnies come hopping back soon.I was surprised that Hermione would ask such a personal thing from Minerva. Good for her for having the sense to deny her access to memories of Severus. I think she's quite right that it will be better for her to learn of him as he is now and not judge or feel sorry for him for things she sees or reads from others.
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thanks to the most recent episode of Trueblood... they plot bunnies have returned in force lol. Chapter 11 has already been sent to my wonderful beta! Thanks for reading! *HUGS*
So awesome! Severus is starting to give up and is about time. I love Snarky!
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thank you reading and reviewing! I love Snarky too! *HUGS*
So, no journals or memories then. Of course, Minerva was right in every respect. But this will give Hermione a chance to get to know Severus slowly and well... I hope.I love the idea of them working together in his personal lab on his research. I have great hopes for the future, but knowing Snape, I think they will have their separate struggles as they learn to appreciate each other as equals rather than as parole officer and parolee.Fabulous chapter, EchoLynn. Thank you.Beth
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
I have great hope as well. I've been struggleing for plotbunnies... but thanks to the most recent episode of True Blood (go figure), I've got a great plot in mind finally lol. Hate it when those plot bunnies run away for a while... *HUGS*
I loved Severus' explanation to Hermione about why he was collecting his own Potions ingredients: "When Potions Masters take the effort to procure their own ingredients, it lends more power to our own potions as we make or create them. This is why most of the wizarding community relies on Potions Masters for their potions instead of brewing their own. They are more powerful."However, his attitude could do with a little improving. I was glad Snarky told him he shouldn't be so rude to Hermione... and that she would be letting the Headmistress know it. LOL!I am so blown away by Hermione's insight into Professor Snape. I dearly hope Snarky can get his old journals and whatever memories of his youth that Minerva may have. Thanks for another nifty chapter!Beth
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Lol. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. Snarky is very dear to me lol. Thanks for reading and reviewing! *HUGS*
Wheeeee. Hermione finally gets to go outside with Severus. He took long enough to come to terms with himself after talking to Minerva, but I'll bet he still has more "coming to terms" ahead of him.Good chapter!Beth
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thank you so much beth! *HUGS*
I hate it when the plot bunnies desert me. *pout* I have several WiPs that I am trying to finish. Now, where did I put that plot bunny trap? *snap* Ouch! ^_^
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Lol... *HUGS*
Thank you for the update!
I love the slow build to the relationship between Severus and Hermione. He doesn't completely shun her (well, Minerva saw to that) and yet he isn't her best friend overnight.
Glad to see Severus has come up with a way to (unwittingly) allow Hermione to get to know him better through becoming his potions research assistant.
Looking forward to seeing what happens next!Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thank you so much. Its very tough writing this story just right to make it believable. *HUGS*
~sends carrots~. I like that Minerva is unwilling to give her any sort of research on Severus.
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thanks ;)
Glad to see another chapter of this! I'm also glad that Minerva helped her to see sense regarding looking into Severus' private journals, etc. That's definitely not something he would appreciate when he found out about it, and he would find out about it... Anyway, it looks like they'll be able to move forward in their burgeoning friendship despite the obstacles, so I think Hermione will do alright without "inside information"! Hope you lure your plot bunnies back, so they can prosper and multiply like good bunnies do!
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Lol... thank you so much for the review ;)
They're starting to move onto equal footing within their platonic relationship. And we all know where that leads to eventually!
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thank you for reading and reviewing! *HUGS*
Fantastic job, I teared up a bit thinking about all of the funerals. Much like Arlington Nat'l.
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thank you for reading ;)
Well, to a certain degree Hermione deserves grading all those papers - after all her own essays had always been at least twice the length the teachers wanted - maybe she'll learn to understand why Severus never gave her top marks when she did that. Great chapter.
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
Thank you lol.
I read this a few months ago and I just spent over an hour searching for it. I hope you update soon. I am so in love with this story.
Response from EchoLynn (Author of The Antidote)
I had a lot happen to me in the last year, but I am now working on my fan fics again and hope to upload new chapters soon! *HUGS* and thank you for reading!
