“I left you a gift, Severus,” she whispered into his ear. “It was very hard to think of something visitors won’t see and Voldemort can’t extract with Legilimency. So it couldn’t be a photo, a medallion or something like that.”
She caressed his chin with her hand and looked in his eyes.
“When you lie down in bed, you will see that the snake ornament in the centre of the headboard is now silver. It has been changed into a kind of Pensieve. It will activate itself when you sleep so that you will remember only a particular dream. I have stored my memories in there, and Albus helped me change it. When I am gone, you will have to carefully edit your memories of us and store them and other memories away safely.”
She followed the curve of his lips with her fingers.
“Touch the snake and go to sleep. Dream of me, as I will dream of you, love.” She sealed his lips with a last kiss.
He had to gather all his strength not to beg her on his knees to stay.
She stepped back, his arms caressing hers, until their fingers parted and activated her Time-Turner. “Soon, very soon, I will be in your arms again....” With those words she vanished.
“Hermione!” he cried.

A really interesting way to use the time-turner.
fantastic tale so cleverly told in so few words. loved it
I feel bad for missing all of those updates. I started reading books so I wasn't coming online like I used to but I am glad to have finished this, I liked it very much, very short and sweet. I like the idea of the Serpent on his headboard of his bed.

Nice way to end it. Confirming that he's held on so long to find it's true and then knowing he's only got the next 6 years to go through 'til he starts / continues his relationship with her... I know it can be taken the wrong way, but it's better you ended it this way instead of starting from this point. ;) Well done!

This part of time turner stories always a strange feeling in me. I can't help but think Snape an old pervert lusting after an 11 year old girl. I don't mind the age difference but NOT until she's 16 or 17. I know writers don't think like that (fortunately) but there's still that strange feeling. So I'm curious as how you'll proceed.
Oh, my. At least he can be hopeful.
Finally Severus knows what he has fought for and waited so long for is right there before him. How wonderful it must have been for him to see her looking into his eyes after her sorting. Only six more years and all his wished will come true.

This is a nice insight into Husband!Snape and his love for Hermione. And he knows there will be another baby to keep Sebastian company.
Thank you for this look at Hermione' and Severus' family life in the present. Seeing how happy they are and hearing Severus say that “Yes, everything will be alright,” made me smile. But I know that Past!Snape is having a hard time without his Hermione.
