Draco Malfoy wants Hermione. Lucius Malfoy wants her, too. What will happen when she doesn’t want to decide and her magic chooses for her?

Due to the often controversial nature of my fics, I've decided I will no longer be posting here (this not NOT include my WIPs--Princes in Exile and Caged Bird Sings will continue to be updated here. This is regarding only my oneshots and future long fics). You can find all my stories at my Livejournal, under the name literaryspell. None of the fics are, as yet, friendslocked, so you can read at your leisure, and friend me, or not, as you like. :D Be sure to check out my master list, which is the first post on my LJ page. Thank you!
If anyone would prefer to send comments to me personally, or would just like to talk plot or make suggestions, please contact me at literaryspell@live.com. I'm happy to hear from anyone!
Reviews for Some Things Change
I feel so sorry for Thello. Even if he seems resigned to his fate, I don't envy his life. And I fear it will become worse when children come.
As for our three heroes, I hope Hermione will make the right choice.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Yes, can you imagine raising children in that atmosphere? Yikes. But we will see more other the other triad as the story develops.
I'm glad that they met the other triad. They need as much information as possible if they're going to do this right. Seeing the negative aspects, like the imbalance that Thello is experiencing, is as important, if not more important, than the positive. I wonder if Thello has more of the triad's power because he has less than his share of the intimacy. Great chapter :D
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Yes, the other triad is certainly not what Hermione had hoped. She wanted to see a triad in love, happy, settled... but instead, she got this horrible inbalance of power and affection. She will tread lightly in her own decision, that's for sure.Interesting observation on the power versus intimacy within the triad. Hmm.
i feel sorry for thello
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Ah, but he's not the type to want pity! LOL
Poor Thello. It shouldn't be about power first and love second. The love should come first. :( Hope they find some resolution. Another lovely chapter, dear.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
I'm glad you liked the chapter. Thello definitely doesn't get the benefits that a triad is capable of, something Hermione will learn for herself. But we will see him again, later in the story.
uh-oh...... But I'm glad Thello was honest with Hermione. I hope Thello finds his own love. Thanks for updating.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Thank you for reading! Thello is nothing if not brutally honest! And his will return to the story now and then. :)
Trust a Malfoy to get what they want. Not that she needed much encouragement...
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
LOL No, I didn't really have her angst much over her decision, did I? I was in a "get to the smut" mentality.
Draco should count his lucky stars that Hermione didn't hex him in the restaurant. Poor guy; he has no clue. Maybe Lucius will be able to help himself figure out his feelings toward Hermione while he is helping Draco learn how to court her. :D
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
LOL Draco is kind of clueless, isn't he? In a cute way. Thanks for reviewing!
This isn't my regular 'ship', but the premise was so intriguing I thought I'd give it a try. Great beginning! :D
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Thanks muchly! I hope you stick with it!
I'm sure the both of them will get over the idea of having sex together. Anyway, I hope so.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
The men? Sad to say (and I really mean that) that there will be no Malfoycest in this fic. However, I will be writing a shorter sequel where the men develop their sexual relationship.
you know, usually, I don't like the idea of hermione and lucius together. Usually I'm not a fan of threesomes. But I have to say, you write this so compellingly I don't mind. I like your style. and you are very convincing. keep on going strong... :)
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
This is just the best compliment. I'm glad I'm able to take you outside your comfort zone, and that you'll give the fic a chance. Thank you so much.
I'd like to her Lucius' thoughts about what you said earlier: He hadn’t experienced such a disruption in his magical force since he’d first met Narcissa, and even then, it had lasted a week before dissipating completely, never to return. Does that mean it took a week together before things "took" but then nothing bad happened after Lucius and Cissa split? So the magic only requires them to try to bind? You have the next chapter in progress? THANK YOU for the new chapter!!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Basically that's what it means. Lucius' and Narcissa' magic bonded within a week, but nothing happened after that, and nothing happened when they split. More will be revealed in the new few chapters!
Another enticing chapter. Lucius is definitely a delectable morsel, even more so the way you have him written. Nice addition.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Ooh, glad you like him! I find him quite irresistable myself. :)
That's becoming to be really really interesting. Not that it wasn't before but she's flirted with both Malfoy men and I long to see what her feelings on the matter will be. I also want to know how every man will cope with the situation.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Oh, you will know all that and much more! Thank you for reviewing!
Hm. I'm definitely preferring Lucius so far. Draco better get his buns in gear if he wants to stay in the picture. But Hermione seems to fancy them both. Draco gets points for being amusing, but Lucius is just... oh my!
*Thud*
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
LOL Lucius is definitely the more suave of the two, but Draco has his own charms. She definitely fancies both, but things are never so easy.
And Lucius scores again!! Four points to Lucius, zero for Draco. But I still won't put money on a bet, as tricksy author has surprises ahead. Thanks for updating!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Four points? LOL Draco will be so disappointed! Draco took her on the first date AND got the first kiss! That should be worth something, no?LOL@tricksy author. I do try. :)
Response from June W (Reviewer)
yes, but Draco lost the points by his failure to follow up with Hermione. "early bird got the worm" but then lost it. go, Lucius!
Has she forgotten Draco already? I wouldn't have thought her that frivolous. Of course both Malfoy men are irresistible, but still...
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Oh, he's not forgotten. But things are... complicated. He did avoid her for an entire week, after all. What's a girl to think? But don't worry. :)
uh-oh, time for a father-son talk! glad L&H had a nice lunch date, although Guilleme's sounds better. thanks for updating!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Yeah, I'd much prefer French to cafeteria, but I'd take Lucius however I can get him!
Response from June W (Reviewer)
(looks slyly at author) you'd take Lucius.... but not Draco? Does that mean Hermione is going to make the same choice you'd make? (crosses fingers)
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Oh, I'd take Draco... or Lucius, or any combination thereof. This is a threesome fic, so Hermione doesn't have to choose!
I can just imagine Draco's reaction when he learns that Lucius has decided to approach Hermione himself. Yikes.
BTW, the mental image of Lucius Malfoy dining in a workplace cafeteria... LOL!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Yeah, Draco may not be pleased.... And I know! Lucius in the cafeteria is too good to pass up.
Ah ha! So now I see where this is going. I will anxiously watch for new chapter.s
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
I'm glad you're sticking with it! Enjoy the new chapter.
Wow. Lucius, willing to live without magic for his son's happiness? Very big changes, indeed.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Lucius has always spoiled his son beyond belief. That's definitely canon. And without the Dark Lord in the way to "corrupt" Lucius further, it follows that he would do anything for his son. That's the direction I'm taking, anyway. :)
intensifying situation here. Nice set up. I like the premise of the magic choosing.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Thank you very much! I hope you enjoy the new update.
I hope there is more coming soon and I hope she chooses Lucius!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Well, it's a threesome story... there's no real choice! Just yummy triad goodness. :)
So both Lucius and Draco are in love with Hermione, but neither Draco nor Hermione realize it. So their magic will be haywire for at least a week, or until they figure it out? At the rate Draco and Hermione are going with the magical wonkiness, they'll be lucky to survive the week!!!The bit with the owl was hilarious, BTW... especially when Draco went into the rant outside the Healer's office, it was like Draco went all Hogwarts firstie all over again. *Snerk*
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
You've pretty much got the whole of it! I absolutely loved writing that owl bit. I know a lot of people think my Draco is immature, but honestly... he *is*. He grows up a LOT within the context of the story, but if he was perfect from the start, the story would be no fun!
I really like this idea that magic disrupts when around someone you love, even before you recognize it. It's really clever. Poor Lucius! I have such a soft spot for the whole Malfoy family and this situation just breaks my heart. >.<
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
Thank you very much! I'm glad you like the concept. Magic seems to be such an interesting concept, though JK approaches it as though it is an innate, natural thing, I have to wonder if there isn't more to it. I love the Malfoys as well. Don't worry, it gets better for them.
Hmm, Lucius' magic worked when the three of them were together. But would Draco's and Hermione's magic work when it's only the two of them together? I'll be waiting for the next chapter!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Some Things Change)
That's the question! Stay tuned. LOL
