How sweet, 'you chase the bad away'.

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Thank you! I quite like my sleepytoddler!Severus. He says the sweetest things. Hee.

I love the slow development of intimacy between the two. It's adorable. Especially sleepy Severus. He's so sqiushable :-)

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Hmm, I do love me some squishy!Severus. LOL. Thanks for reviewing! I'm glad you're enjoying the story. -CC

Lovely chapter.  Hermione caring about Severus would almost compel her to save him from his dastardly dreams.  Will Hermione be brave enough to let him know that her feelings for him have deepened?  I hope so!  :D

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Hee. Thank you! I certainly hope Hermione'd be brave enough--because, as we know, Severus doesn't really know what to do with his emotions other than keep them bottled up. *shrugs* We'll see what happens... -CC

Pirouetting hippos?  By any chance, am I right in assuming that this was intended as a homage to the "Dance Of The Hours" segment from the original Fantasia -- featuring, of course, Hyacinth Hippo?  (Where the tap-dancing llamas came from, however, I can't even begin to imagine...)

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Honestly, I only thought of that after I'd typed it out and re-read this chapter. I decided to keep it because dreaming of pirouetting hippos is definitely not the norm and I have to keep Sev's dreams weird. Thus the tap-dancing llamas. Although why they're dancing as well... *shrugs* Perhaps Severus' subconscious is trying to tell him he shouls pursue a career in interpretive dance...? LOL. Thanks for the review! -CC

Squeee!!!!!  I love half-asleep Severus!

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Squee is right! Isn't he cute? ^___^

because

I love how you write Sev and this is the best chapter..so sweet.  Yuck he'd probably hate that but he is when you write him....sigh

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Yep. If the real Severus Snape saw this he'd probably have an aneurism. LOL. But, he's changed. And no one's ever seen his sleepy behaviour before. Who knows if he wasn't like this. *is thinking that's incredibly farfetched* Thanks for the review!! -CC

Tap-dancing llamas?  What on earth did she put in that water? :)

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Hallucinogens, I'm sure. ;) Severus has silly dreams or scary dreams--never really something in between. (You'll see.) Thanks for the review! Heh. -CC

Another very nice piece, wish each chapter was longer.

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Alas, three-hundred words is kinda the limit for these. I wish they were longer, too. ^__^

how perfect they are for each other.  lovely.  thanks                         lap dancing llamas??!!

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Erm... I believe it says "tap-dancing llamas", but...Lmao.

Response from kimjo2 (Reviewer)

ohhh now the pieroetting hippos make sense!

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Heh. Neither are supposed to make sense, but I see what you mean. But... lap-dancing llamas. *giggles*

peppermint

Just friends. Riiiiiight.

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

LoL. Yes, our Hermione seems to be in denial. Oh, well. Perhaps some convincing is in order. ;)

10/10

rosered

Terrible nightmare!  No wonder he sleeps like crap.  But she's there for him when he needs her, and that's what matters.  Great chapter!  :D

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Thank you! Yes, Hermione does have that soothing presence.... even though Severus still has weird-ass dreams. ;) Tap-dancing llamas, indeed.

10/10

snitchette

It made me smile a lot. I just love that kind of sweet scene. Just a question what is llamas?

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

A llama is a hooved animal related to a camel that resides in South America. It was used as a pack animal by the Incas, and is rather funny looking. In french, is 'le lama' if that clears things up, any. *shrugs* French is your first language, right? Here is the link to wikipedia in English: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llamas and here it is in French: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lama_(animal)

Response from snitchette (Reviewer)

Well, *contrite look* That's what I thought. I was just taken aback by the double L. And I must admit I was too much a loafer to look at the internet. Sorry and thanks for your answer.

That's a much better dream!  With her around, maybe he'll get a decent night's sleep.

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Don't you love those tap-dancing llamas? His dreams (in following chapters) get better. :D

Clairvoyant

Tap-dancing llamas?  What was in that water she gave him?  I think Severus iz in lurv!

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Oh, you know. Some peyote. Although, that would probably give him really.... really... effed up dreams. ;D But, you know, I think you're right about Sev. I think he's beginning to realize it, too.

Yeah...  right! ;)

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Heh. Hermione's obviously got some thinking to do. :D

They may be not involved yet but I hope it will happen soon. Are there bets on who will make the first move?

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

Hah, probably between the parents. Jane figured it out before Hermione did, after all. ;)

That end bit touched my heart.

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)

As it should!  Just kidding. Thank you! That part did indeed give me the fuzzies. But not as much as the coming chapters!

Such a powerful, visual beginning.  You can feel Severus'  loneliness and abandonment.  Heartbreaking.  Well done!  :D

Oh, such a sad cry from Severus.

Response from ConstantComment (Author of The Precious Few)
