Intriguing beginning. Interesting that Ron kept trying to find reasons to object even though working at Hogwarts would give Hermione essentially the same schedule as his own. And yet he's too chicken to actually propose to Hermione, even though he "knows" she's the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with. IDK, but it sounds like Ron may be fooling himself there.

Can't wait for the ball. It's good that Severus kept his Slytherin from the party and got extra points taken away. It's nice to see he can be more fair now.

Nice chapter, glad to see Ron acting more mature, even though he's quite childish one minute then a 180 the next. It's both odd and fascinating seeing Severus so concerned over Hermione without being too motherly.

That was a lovely chapter. But as much as I don't mind Ron most of the time, I don't like him with Hermione.
