The seconds ticked by, and with each one, he felt his spirits lift. His expression remained impassive and his position statue-like, yet Draco felt like laughing at the irony: he had never in his life been so happy at the thought of seeing his father.

Reviews for Heavy Lies the Crown
Thank God!! I was so worried he'd take her up on her offer. Good Job
Oh, I don't feel good about this. Lucius is too much of a sly one. I'm nervous... Great chapter.
"We Learned the Sea" is one of my all-time favorite stories. Which is why I wanted to read this one. The first chapter has my attention. From what I've read of your stories, you have a gift for intrigue.~*

Hello! I appreciate your faith in my writing. I hope you enjoy Heavy! And thanks for the review!
I also found your story to-day and had some wonderfull hours reading - and are now hooked. Waiting for the updates
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
Thank you! I'm glad you found it! :) Updates are coming!
I can't believe I missed this gem of a story, but now I'm completely hooked! I like your take on Draco, he's not perfect, but he's clearly matured from the spoilt little Slytherin git he was at Hogwarts. Ron, however, doesn't seem to have changed all that much, he's still as stubbornly judgemental as ever. Maybe motivated by lingering jealousy over what he can't have. Hermione seems really torn between the idea of her "romance" with Malfoy being a ploy, yet it's obvious they both have real feelings for each other. And then there's the Charlie factor. What a mess!
As for the blackmailer's identity, it has to be someone close to Narcissa to get something as personal as a lock of her hair. My first thought was one of her ex-lovers, as it wouldn't be that unusual for a lover to keep such a token of his/her affections. Blackmail doesn't really seem like Snape's style... I'm assuming he survived the war and his affair with Narcissa was during Lucius' incarceration. Anyway, Rabastan LeStrange seemed the better candidate to me.
One other thought I had was similar to Draco's, the one about Pansy blackmailing him and approaching him with her marriage proposal hoping he'd be financially strapped and desperate enough to accept. My twist on that was thinking that Narcissa herself might be part of the plot, as she has been keen on the idea of a Draco-Pansy match. I'm also wondering if the blackmail scheme might be connected to the conversation at the Malfoy dinner party about reviving the Death Eaters. Hmm.
Anyway, I love the story and can't wait to read what happens next!

awwwwww- the sex details were sweet. love pansy. and my god its so awesome how involved hermione's parents are. alas its 4:30 am, the birds are chirping but at least i can go to bed while its still dark. please write more soon.
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)

awwwwwww-. very happy with the way ron acted- it was sweet. harry was cute at the end. loved her classmates. and good on the explaination with rosemertha.
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
Thanks so much!
^___________________^ ahh, that was just lovely. thanks for for the background info on charlie and ron. nice that ginny noticed how malfoy acted around hermione in the white sundress. absollutely loved how she wanted minute details. and possibly the best thing- her parents! yov dont know hou much of a sore spot hermione's lack of parents are for me espcially in fics. glad to see here that she now visits them regularily and freuently unlike it seemed at school .and you know-its the first time i can recall having her parents know that they were going to be oblivated.
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
Yay! Glad you liked this one! It was hard for me to imagine Hermione NOT telling her parents what she was doing. I'm thrilled you like that particular aspect of the story. Her parents have been really fun to write in this story. :)
oooh let the rumour mills begin. wonder if itll start with mcgonagal? oh and yes thought katie would be the returning player-wonder if she will appear again.
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
There won't be any more Quidditch. That was a summer thing, and since school has started, they are all too busy now.
oh yes telecommnications before- money always works as an excvse doesnt it? and glad to see goyle with a brain.
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
Glad you like my Goyle! I do too! :)
blaise for gryffindor and granger for for slytherin- i understand the reasoning for it post war and it is intriguing. i wonder whose head of the other houses.
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
Thanks again for the review. I wanted to mix things up a little. :)
oooooo. of corse this made me want tea and a chocolate-filled croissant- alas i was only able to make the tea. really like the weasleys presenting to draco. very well done emotionly between draco and hermione.
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
I wish we could find good chocolate croissants where I live. Alas, they aren't to be. Glad the scene with Draco and Hermione worked!
awwwww poor pansy. the part about purple affected me so much. and then about her saying what she imagined the kiss to have been as oppsed to what it was and then of course her running away trying to defend herfself and what would now be. the weasleys section was nice as well . like draco i didnt know what toexpect at every turn. “The ‘Once-Seekers-now-Chasers-because-of-Harry-Potter Club,’ of course.” He grinned. ^____^ heh, just cause he is harry potter. ^_____^. i liked how the rest dont uite know whats going on with charlie and hermione as well. and hey what of poisioning ron and almostkilling him, sure it wasnt aimed at him...
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
Thanks for the review! I'm glad you could relate to Pansy at the end. I really do feel for her, but she'll be all right. She's strong. :)
my is the writing good. ahhh, the aftermath of the losers of the war. nicely portrayed.
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
Thank you! I had a great time writing that scene.
beautifully done. i enjoyed the mood, undertones and politiking that flowed through it.
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
Thank you so much!! :)
oh yeah shouldnt it have been 17yr old boy not 16..not (a couple months shy of 18)?
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
Yes, you're right! Thanks for the catch!
I havent had a mimosa since college. You are making me thirsty. Thank goodness the Weasley meals are only montly. I couldnt take all that chaos if it was weekly. Oh the irony of Hermione giving relationship advice about honesty to Evan. It was all I could do to not hoot with laughter.
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
LOL @ the Weasley meals. I'm with you there. And yeah, Hermione's advice. Definitely a case where she needs to listen to her own, yeah? :) Thanks for the review!
I ADORE the picture for this chapter. it's just perfect. so beautiful, and expressive. Thank you for including the menu, I do appreciate :) you are such a good writer! the mystery is really expanding now, and I can't wait to find out more about the blackmailer!
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
Thank you thank you!! I love the art for this chapter. :D So happy that you're still enjoying the story.
really nice job as always!!
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
Thank you!!
He told her everything he has said was truthful. Methinks she cannot accept the compliments as being true. It just lays her soul to open to ridacule. Oh I adore this story.
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
She'd done such a good job of convincing herself that he'd been lying before--and they're still pretending to be together now--so she has no trouble believing he's still pretending. She knows very little about him, actually, so yeah. :D Thank you!!
The artwork in this chapter is my favorite so far. Hermione's outfit is just perfect!! Especially the shoes. thank you for not letting Ron have a complete hissy fit. He can do that when they get engaged. Oh wait I have jumped ahead a few million chapters didnt I?
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
HA! Glad you liked the art. Engaged? Hmm, let's see. I plead the fifth. :D
Very nice! I was glad to see this update and to get some answers!
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
Thank you!! :) Glad you liked!
Gun powder and cannonballs? Those are some dangerous butterflies she has there in her belly hahhaI loved how this chapter focused on Hermione's personal thoughts and feelings of Malfoy. I was waiting for this part to finally happen and it was wonderful! I can't wait for your next chapter!
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
HA! You're right! Some mutant butterflies, perhaps.Thank you for the kind words!
Not only are pictures of their date going to be in the paper but she doesnt know the thread count of the napkins. This is a disaster. I enjoyed Hermione's POV. If only she knew his feelings too this would be a much shorter story. LOL! Its going to be a fun ride. I just know it.
Response from floorcoaster (Author of Heavy Lies the Crown)
ROFL!! You're right--she never bothered to find out! Guess she was too distracted, huh? Really, Ginny should be pleased. And yeah, it would be a much shorter story. LOL. But not as much fun. :) Thanks for the review!!
