“I thought you were dead.” A small voice came from the open doorway and Severus blinked. She? Of all people to come looking for him, she had? Of course she had. It made perfect sense—the little Gryffindor—she was always worried for others, and never for herself.
Companion piece to "Gentle Hands," but can stand alone, just as well.

Aw, as much as Ron bugs me in the later books, I still hate to see him die. The reunification scene at the end is quite appropriate though. "You're alive! I could kill you for scaring me like that!" Powerful stuff you've got here, and beautiful use of words and imagery.

Thanks so much! I feel like Hermione would react like that, don't you? She's such a firecracker. LoL. And I'm sorry for killing off Won-Won, at least it was painless as opposed to all the ridiculous car crashes, auror accidents and elephant stampedes that he manages to insinuate himself into in many other stories. ;) I swear he stays alive in my chaptered story!
