Many things goin gon here. Is Harry really trapped into marrying Narcissa? Yuck.and Draco hasn't a knowball's chance with Ginny. Only Severus seems to be making any headway.

Glad you are continuing this.  Everything seems to be going well for Severus and Hermione so far.  I'm sure it will get rocky, especially if... gasp!... she finds out about the bet.  I know, I'd be angry!

I am trilled to see the update! While I do hope that the bet Severus and Draco made with Lucius will end up hurting them far more than the girls, I do hope for happy endings. I am just a bit tired of Severus in most fics being able to get away with all kind of hurting behaviour towards Hermione and she is supposed to forgive and forget as soon as he force himself to admit that he migth have been wrong and that if he absolutely have to admit it he does love her. What often suprises me just as much is that in the few fics where Hermione don't instantly fell into his arms and cries out how much she loves him and of course she forgives him, reviewers screams in outrage for her daring to hurt "poor Severus", because said Severus has issues and thus is allowed to hurt her for twenty-odd chapters and to expect instant forgivness when he is forced to see that he has gone to far. Enough of my ranting on that issue for now, so for the plot is brilliant:-)) It irks me that those Death-Eaters thinks they have any rigths to do what they do, but it is early stages and I do hope to be satisfied with the story in the end:-)) While Harry and Narcissa seems like a odd pair, I am in favour of Lucius having to face that his own actions have caused him to loose everything. Harry don't deserve Ginny, nor was their relationship mature enough to make Harry act like a grown up who loved and resepcted is fiance. He would never have kept Rons betrayal a secret if he had been truly in love with Ginny and a true friend for Hermione. Maybe Narcissa will be exactly what Harry needs to grow up? If nothing else, trying to get out of marrying her should make him see the consequenses of ones actions. I love the idea of Harry being Dracos stephfather though, I wonder who will feel most terrified of the thougth; Harry or Draco? Update again soon, I am really looking forward to read more!!!!

Oh, I'm so enjoying seeing the characters deepen as this goes on with the Ginny-Narcissa competition.  Narcissa and Harry so clearly want the same things from a marriage, but would he ever get over the resentment?  Will Draco get Ginny to stand up for herself by showing her that what she wants is important to and would that be enough to improve Harry-Ginny communication and leave all the Malfoys single?  For all Hermione and Severus seem to have title roles, I'm much less worried about them long term.

Splendid little scene between the Malfoys.  Or should I say Mr. Malfoy and Miss Black?  Poor Harry!  I suppose it could be worse, if, say, Voldemort had won, or Harry was forced to marry Umbridge.

I'm glad you posted. Bets always seem to blow up in the better's face and I'm sure Hermione won't be sparing in her anger and hurt. Narcissa has Lucius' number and I'm curious to see if she'll really go through with a marriage to Harry. Wonderful chapter, hope to see a follow up soon.

Sounds like Narcissa's damned and determined to be rid of her cheating husband. Lucky for Lucius that Severus didn't take him up on the bet that he'd win his soon-to-be ex-wife back ... sure sounds like that's not about to happen.

But poor Harry! He did screw up bigtime by lying to Hermione--and Ginny in the process--but possibly being forced to marry his mortal enemy's mum? Ouch!

As for Severus and Draco's plans to woo Hermione and Ginny to satisfy their respective bets with Lucius ... I have a feeling this is going to end up biting them both in the arse.

Hey There!  So I picked up reading this fic yesterday and OMG its awesome.  Its so very convoluted and fun.  I hope it continues to have the humorus aspects to it as it continues.  I love how you've kept the characters very close to their natural temperment.  I don't get the feeling that anyones OOC or anything and that's great.  Its hilarious that Narcissa is using Harrys life debt to her to get him to marry her.  I wonder how thats going to pan out!  Fun Stuff!  Keep it rolling!  Much Love ~ Brena
