No more magic?  The plot thickens...  Hmm.  I think Snape lashed out because he doesn't know why he's talking to Hermione.  After all, if he's been eavesdropping on her graveyard visits then he knows very well that she has conversations with his headstone!  Not the sort of behavior you'd expect from someone who didn't really think you were dead.  But what's with the lack of magic???  I must know!

I'd like to congratulate you for one of the most unsettling things I've read in some time. The way he goes from naught to sixty in a moment is truly remarkable. I suppose it makes perfect sense, as he's a spy and all, but still *shivers* you've done a lovely job. 

Suppose he had to be a good actor when he was spying. :)

The Severus you depicted is dreamy, and that is not so easily done in my book!

I really like the set up you have here. Hermione's longterm solitude and obvious attachment to Snape was really interesting. I loved Draco and Blaise. They were great. Your summary was really well-written too. Drew me right in. Consider me hooked.

What a smashing beginning. I still hadn't gotten over my giggles at the product packaging and Draco's "Granger Danger" antics in the bar when you set off the final twist. Going off to read Chapter Two with great anticipation!

It's very interesting that someone who apparently is so concerned about Hermione knowing he's alive told her in the first place! Very suspicious, I say... On the whole, I'm enjoying this story so far!  Can't wait to see if Neville's gran still wears the hat with the vulture on it!
