It sounds strikingly like Barnes and Nobles, not to mention several other book/coffee spot that have come about in recent times. I love those types of book stores. It is funny that Severus keeps telling himself that he does not want more than a friendship with Hermione and then turns around and has thoughts about what she would be like in a more intimate relationship. It is said that those who have had love are capable of finding it again, the question is will he recognize it when he sees it. B

Yay, they had a date! Well, he might not call it a date, but they had "quality time" together, even without trembling monkeys. I'm also glad she and Harry realize that something "ended" - the school stage of their friendship, as they both move on to adulthood. Thanks for updating!!

I'm not quite sure I could see Snape doing the trembling monkeys!! Cynical aardvarks, maybe... I have never been a fan of anything ending in my life, but I've come to realize the necessity of it. It seems at the beginning of the chapter he doesn't want anything more than friendship. At the end he's thinking another way... Hopefully he's not going to be one of those friends with benefits...
That would make an interesting topic for them to discuss on some occasion.. Hermione saying that the "boys" are sometimes friends with benefits.. I could see a little jealousy flair up with a nervous tick.. An have her continue with something like they haven't done that in a year or so... Just didn't see to be working out.. 
Good writing as always... Yep think she'll change his mind.
Will he inquire what her book was about?

Side note: I am glad that you and your family are feeling better.
I truly enjoy this story and it is very well written. It made me laugh, the trembling monkeys like was too funny, and it made me cry. But then again my husband always said that if there was ever a movie line that suited me perfectly it was the line by Dolly Parton in Steel Magnolias "No one cries alone in my presence." Happens to be true, but it takes talent to have me crying at a story. Great job.

Sometimes all it takes is someone you respect to tell you what to do... It worked quite nicely with Severus. I also particularly loved the scene with Harry and Hermione... that was lovely.

Thank you so much. I base H & H's friendship on mine and my hubby's...we were best friends for about 12 years before we became involved, and that laughing scene was based on ones we've had. I loved writing it!

LOL...thanks for the review!! I enjoyed doing the laughing scene a lot...I wrote it based on some hysterical laughing sessions that my husband and I have had, and when he read it he said that's exactly what he thought of. 
I'll be working on another chapter shortly, but unfortunately my little guy ended up in the hospital for a few days, so I'm a bit behind on ...well, life! We're all getting back on track now...I hope you can hang in there for more!!

Excellent chapter. But I wonder, was there something going on between Snape and Hermione? random quotes 'a woman loving' 'a boy crying' and then Snape who thought about his lost child. Had Hermione lost a child as well? Or was it something she has witnessed?
