When their association with Lucius throws them together, Narcissa and Severus find that although they don't like one another, their relationship is more complex than they think. This was written for the hp_summersmut 2008 exchange as a gift for ltgarrix.

I'm not really very interesting.
I am going to write a sequel to An Apple On A Bough. I even have an outline. However, I suffer from what medical professionals call "laziness."
Feel free to pester me about it; it might get done faster.

Interesting relationship. In toying with the fire you might burn yourself. I wonder what would happe were they to be discovered. Would she break her engagement to Lucius and marry Severus instead. But that is an entirely different story.

I never decided whether Lucius was really as ignorant of what was going on as he seemed... so I'm not sure what would have happened.

Very well written! I enjoyed the sexual repartee between Severus and Narcissa. Even though it was she who had begun this game of the subtle seduction of Lucius' friend, Severus ultimately took control of the "game" and the control was now all his.Beth

Now, that is quite interesting. Although you have them all the same age here? Lucius is about 6 years older than Severus according to JKR.

I'm glad you liked it!You are correct. When this was posted at the exchange, I did warn it was slightly AU due to the dates of attendance, but somehow that blurb did not make it over in my frantic cutting and pasting. I'll see if I can stick it in there somewhere for future readers.

This was awesome. The erotic parts were very well-written, and I love the storyline ... Severus and Narcissa are quite the pair.

Naughty, naughty. His intended and his friend behind his back. I love it. Poor Lucius so thinks he's in control, when he doesn't control everything.
