"I just realized that I can't very well test them unless someone is wearing a glamour, now, can I?" She gave them a cocky grin and placed the glasses back on as Fred turned his hair brown and shrunk his nose. She looked at him and saw the real Fred, and with the specs still on she stole a glance to the man sitting in the corner. A man who was normally sallow, and greasy, and completely vile. A man who had a nasty temper and an even nastier personality. A man who had a wicked sense of humor and could take on anyone physically or intellectually. A man whom she had been in love with for several years.
Severus Snape felt her eyes fall on him, and the gasp that fell from her lips almost made his heart stop. She had seen him. But for some reason she didn't reveal the truth. He looked at the girl and wondered when she had grown up and become a woman. A woman who used to be a bothersome know-it-all. A woman who had annoying taste in friends. A woman who fought bravely in the sight of absolute fear. A woman who had captured his heart and kept it captive.

Great treat! I know I've read this before but I was cruel not to review then. I apologize. I have the giggles seeing everyone's reaction in my mind when he walked through the floo. Such a fun read. Love it.

i REALLY like her dragging him up by his collar to kiss him - that's hot! and i like that he was frozen with a look of "almost joy." and i especially liked that he looked mostly like himself with minor improvements. laugh lines. :D

I just read through this story and love the characterizations---and that he isn't horridly different. I'm impressed she was able to dispell Fred's curiosity to check why she gasped. I look forward to more.

I can't help but feel that really, Severus would be angry and insecure that she only chose directly after seeing him as, even if only slightly, more handsome and approachable to kiss him. I think he would recognize that immediately and be extremely defensive about it, whether or not he needed to be.

yeah, originallyi changed his nose, but then I got some reviews about not changing it and so i changed it back and I like it better this way. he's changed, but its still him. i'm glad you approved.

Gosh, you had me thinking he'd actually be a blonde, muscle-bound Adonis! LOL No really: I like that the changes were subtle. I also love the way Hermione stormed back in, after having left. Truly one of Godric's own!! Well done!

If I was Hermione I'd try and get EVERY pair of truth specs and Obliviate the twins. It would be for the 'common good'. Imagine how many witches poor Severus would have to fight off! Poor dear would be exhausted! Love your story. I like that you have kept him basically the same - but with laugh lines.Looking forward to reading more.
