I am a latecomer to the Potterverse (way after HBP). I was searching the web for everything and anything about Snape one day when I accidentally stumbled over my first Severus/Hermione story. I read it, was intrigued, searched for more, and the rest is history.
My fandom world very much revolves around Severus Snape and Lucius Malfoy.
My favourite 'ships are Hermione/Severus, Hermione/Lucius, Severus/Lucius, and my OT3: Severus/Hermione/Lucius.

No, I'm not a big fan of the Weasley family, and I think they could turn rather nasty if things didn't go their way. I usually do like Ginny and Charlie, though.

I really shouldn't be surprised that the response to Hermione's news is to overthrow the Weasley stranglehold on the Ministry, but it is still great to read that's where you're planning to go with this. =)I look forward to seeing how everything goes and whether they convince Kingsley to be minister. Hermione’s premeditated actions – preparing the potion, placing herself in a position to secretly administer it – is too reminiscent of “date rape” with GHB. If this had been the actions of a male character rather than a female character, we would consider it totally unacceptable. It is clear Hermione knows it is wrong because she secretly drugs him. If she thought it was above board, she would have said “I really want to have sex with you and I have this great recreational drug so everyone can have a good time.” But she doesn’t say that. Instead, she acts as if he would not freely choose to relate to her so she must over-ride that freedom if she is to get what she wants. And that is date rape.These actions show sweet, put-upon, little Hermione to be a predator.

However, I disagree for a number of reasons.
1. In the scenario you described GHB renders the victim unconscious or heavily sedated, who is then raped. I agree there is nothing romantic or sexy about that regardless who it happens to.
This is a completely different scenario than that in my story. None of the characters in my story is unconscious or heavily sedated. They're in possession of their full cognitive and mental abilities, and they're aware that they've been given a potion. Remember, Snape realises that Hermione had meant the potion for Lucius and tries to walk away. Only when Hermione says that she would like him to be there, does he decide to stay. He decides, nobody forces him to. Same with Lucius.
2. You may have noticed that there is no warning for dubious consent for this chapter. For a good reason: simply because all three character are quite happy to do what they're doing.
3. Things are not always what they seem. I'm reluctant to give too much of my plot away, but it never says exactly which potion is used.
4. As a side note, my characters are not on a "date", they're simply having tea together, which they've done several times before, and I consider Hermione to be neither sweet nor little, but a very capable grown-up witch.
