Reviews for Entangled
A dynamic battle of the wills and skills of two very talented and creative, passionate witches--loved the tension set up and sustained with the hot exploratory erotica oved the intimacy of action and the intimacy of the lyric, rythmic language reinforcing the action. Lovely work!

Your review describes what I tried to write. Thanks.
It's always fun to read a bit of femmeslash. I've written some myself, though none of it was based on 'what I know'. This truly was imaginative, and I think that being imaginative in femmeslash is a must. I kind of think otherwise it would get kind of repetitive.

Rule 1) Never leave a review when one's already-compromised mind is functioning at half-peak at best. Rule 2) Well, I don't know what rule 2 is at the moment because my children interrupted me—again! Oh, perhaps that's the second rule. Never write reviews (or read smut) when children are around because they destroy your concentration and diminish your enjoyment. I think the kids were in bed though when I read this. Pretty sure they were. My dear MHaydn, I meant it as a compliment that you had discovered a truly imaginative way for the two girls to discover each other. I admit I would not have thought of a magical solution to the redundancy femmeslash has the danger of falling into. (I mean, seriously, with two women 'going at it' what is there to do? Not much. I believe this is why we have two sexes with vastly different nether-parts that complement each other so well. A male-male encounter has more promise of variation... but I digress.)As you can probably tell, I've had my coffee this morning. In fact, going back for a second cup. And yes, I did grind the beans myself. Nothing else could be expected.

There's nothing wrong with the first review although the second gives more details about what you were thinking.
I gather from your second response that you were worried about being tired or distracted and hence not up to par. What a worry-wart perfectionist - even grinds her own beans. Don'r worry. You seem to have the gift of spontaneity. The second response brings up the question about whether femmeslash or slash can have more variety. I distinguish between porn and erotica where erotica considers the personality of the characters. If erotica is successful, we care about the people involved. My first thought is that, as erotica, femmeslash should be as interesting and varied as slash or het, but I do not really know.PS: It's painful, but I must confess to a lack of originality. Japanese anime makes extensive use of tentacles.

Yay!! I got a response!

/images/chairdance.gif" alt="" />(I know it was painful ... *cough* Me, I'm the worry-wart perfectionist? *lol* It made me happy though, so thanks!)When I was living out of boxes for 2 months because our move was imminent and the timeframe unpredictable, I drank Nescafe for a month. It. Was. Sheer. Torture. (Gave it up and just drank ice tea.)Grinding one's own beans makes for a darn good cup of coffee. Other than my morning cup of necessity, I'm pretty much a Starbucks kinda gal. I love lattes. And I cannot figure out how to make them on my own without having to buy another machine, which is kind of out of the question.

Fanfic did corrupt you! But, oh, such delicious corruption...femslash AND tentacle porn! Woohoo! Great job!
Response from MHaydn (Author of Entangled)
Thanks. I did try to give personalities to the two girls.
Very hot indeed. I couldn't help but feel that Pansy was a tad OOC, but it worked for the story.
Response from MHaydn (Author of Entangled)
Thanks for the review. As for Pansy and the story, I deliberately wrote Pansy out-of-canon, but I do not think I wrote her out-of-character since it seems reasonable to me that Slytherins would have this depth of emotion. This may or may not be the reason she appears a tad OOC. I also think I wrote Hermione out-of-canon but not out-of-character.

Glad you enjoyed it, especially if it's not your usual fare.

I'm not usually a fan of femmeslash, but this was truly worth the read. Well written, and the pr0n was just, wow!
Response from MHaydn (Author of Entangled)
Thank you. It was a look at two strong-willed and passionate witches.
