I love this story (drabbles shnabbles or not). Raven, have you forgotten the raven? Not a single mention of him (her) or the courtyard in this chapter. Buhu. I like the reforms, the elves, the special magic premises waiting for Snape, and the raven. Who could it be? Do write on, please.

I'm completely addicted to this story. The power of expression you pack into the short format is amazing. What a heartbreaking conversation with Burbage, and Dumbledore's portrait was pitch-perfect, pure benign callousness.

So who take so good care of Severus: Elfes or Headmistress? I hope it's the latter.

Great update! I am so mad at Dumbledore, could you please tell the houseelfs to give Severus a nice bottle of terpentine and a cloth, there is a certain creature who should be wiped off the canvas.... ?I just can't wait for Dumbledort to see that Hermione will be a more than willing to let Severus warm her bed on a permanent basis (in due time, I hope:-))....

grrrr.... time to 'retire' Dumbly's portrait into the fireplace!  I wonder if Mr Burbage will talk to Hermione about Severus, and if it would make him feel better to see a Pensieve memory of his sister's death.  c'mon, Hermione - invite the new DADA prof to tea or something!  thanks for the new chapter; I've been waiting and checking for days.  glad his students seem to be accepting of him. 

Laughed at this line:  'Sodding elves.' Putting his feet up, Severus brought the glass to his lips. Whoever had first enslaved the little buggers had probably done it out of sheer desperation.  And might I just say that I want to kill Albus all over again...

Hmm.. I wonder why Dumbledore is so hateful towards Severus (well other than the obvious, but that was on orders) lol.  More please!

i loved this beautifully written chapter. i particularly loved severus's teaching - it had the hairs standing up on the back of my neck. and the way he walked with the heartbeat of the castle, or however you put it - explains why the castle is taking care of him, too. and the refilling wine bottle made me giggle. i of course hate dumbledore in this story, which i'm sure is the reaction i'm supposed to have.

Dumbledore disgusts me.  Jerk.  I loved Severus' teaching at the beginning of the chapter. 

Dumbledore is evil as always. Hermione would have him facing the wall if she knew what he said to Severus. I like your nonraging Snape. He wears the new mellowness well. Thanks Meli!

I love this story. I don't know how I missed it when you originally wrote it, but I saw it when I went to read "Bed Rest." I didn't remember reading "What Goes Around....," so I thought I'd read that first. I'm glad I did.

Great epilogue!  I can't recall ever reading one like it.I'm betting on the Headmasters, the house-elves, and their secret weapon:  Betty the Bloodthirsty!  Plasma substitute or not, Betty will scare the randy Randy into the psych ward!Loved it!Beth

Loved this chapter! What an unusual epilogue ... for a minute there I thought it was turning into a whole other saga. Ingenious, especially the revelation that Minerva's uncle invented golf. And Hermione was brilliant, as always; I'm sure Betty the Bloodthirsty will keep all future obnoxious hotel developers in line.

My money is on the dead headmasters. Thanks for such a fun story.

sounds like a horror-scenario.what will the world look like in 500 years.Hogwarts closed, the castle turned into a golfers paradise, and all the magical creatures and beings and people and portraits destroied and mistreated.Good, there is this union amost them. good there is a couple like Severus and Hermione. cruel but funny ending.thank you for whole of it.
