I just discovered this and have spent the better part of 2 days reading it..... OMG!! What a cliffie to be left at!!! Though I must say how very happy I am that there was so much for me to read..... AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! Hermione, NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!Nononononono! I can understand the idea of not wanting to wonder forever, 'What if?', but really, at this time that's pointless, since H/H never could be with the other anyway, and I think having sex now could only cause regret... sigh.
But, trust the author - I'm sure you have a rationale, and it will work out. The thing is, I can see her reasons, but also it feels like a kind of betrayal of Severus for Hermione to do this now, but then, it isn't as if this is a normal courtship between willing partners. The old saying holds true, however - the person who does the act, should Never Ever tell the one whom is being betrayed. To do anything but carry it to their grave as a secret is wrong - all it does is hurt the other person. I know that in adultery, confession does not bring forgiveness, but rather, lasting pain. Still, they are not yet married, though they are betrothed.  Well, I think you can see how I am thorooughly tied into knots (heh - fits your theme well) by this situration. Being Libran is a pit, 'cuz though I have my own opinion, I can see both sides.  I realllllly hope you will have an update soon? Please? Fingernails are scraping off the cliff-edge...

I dislike a smoking Severus. I would think that the intelligence and rationality of keeping one's body clean and sense of smell intact would appeal much more to a Potions Master. CanonSnape doesn't smoke, MovieSnape doesn't smoke and Rowling doesn't say he does. It's totally impertinent.

Hermione couldn't steal Pensive memory cigarettes any more than she could interact with Pensive memory people. Her hand would have gone right through them.  Great idea, but doesn't hold water for what we know. 

I read this story over the last couple of days and I really love it. Finally a story which neither portrays everything as pink and fluffy nor says that SS and HG just hate each other. And I really hope that you RL gets itself sorted out quickly. I can be you cheerleader, but I'm no native speaker so that betaing would probably result in a lot more faults instead of less

I hate that you've lost your job, and I hope you'll find another soon -before July.  This horrid economy is very hard on a lot of people.  I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

What a great chapter!  Thank for this great update!  I think this Marriage Law has scrambled everyone's brains.  I hope Harry and Luna don't have to get married, and I really hope Hermione will come to her senses about having sex with Harry before she marries Snape.  I think Harry knows what a cockamamie idea that is, and I hope he will dawdle long enough that she will decide it's a bad idea, too.  Besides, Severus will have his guts for garters if he ever finds out about it... and with a Wand Binding, I think that would be very likely.

I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

I just spent the last 5 hours reading this story! It is wonderful and couldn't stop reading! I was so distraught when there were no more chapters yet to read! chapters at the beginning of this story had me crying like a baby. and i love where this is going. i love the protrayal of Snape. i love the character Lady Snape. i hope your real world doesn't interfere with you're writing too much...i am quite an impatient person and can hardly wait to see what happens next!   -~yournewfan!!

LadyTuesday, you're back! That's fabulous! My eyes nearly jumped out of their sockets as I noticed an update to this story, but it wasn't fantasy. It's real. I'm so very happy that you are still willing to write for us. And what a turmoil the first post-hiatus chapter brought! Hermione's plan is a dangerous one and I worry about both her and Severus's sanity if she actually sleeps with Harry. I hope she won't be able to.

Beta-reading would be difficult for me, because I'm not a native speaker. But if you need me, let me know and in a team with someone else, I think I could do a decent job.

So good to see you back..hope life gets a bit easier for you this year.

I'm really sorry that Hermione is trying to give her virginity away to Harry. I'm afraid Severus will find out and it will create even more bad blood between them. But also, I feel that if she had saved herself for him, it would have meant the world to him. He would ultimately treasure her for it.
 
Then again, if angst is the goal, this is a great way to create a lot of it.
