Reviews for Overcome With Feeling
Turpin to Severus' rescue - even offering to bite Hermione's ankles. Very funny. Oh, no. I hope that Severus is alright - poor Turpin and Hermione. She probably thought that she could make him warm to the thought of them being together, but now he hasn't returned. The agony her heart must be in...
I can see the picture that you painted with your words here - Hermione standing, fire in her eyes, telling off Moody. You paint a lovely picture my dear. I really enjoy Albus' "dotty old fool" routine. Sneaky Turpin, snatching Hermione hankerchief when she wasn't paying attention - I like how Severus made Turpin feel guilty so that he could take the treasure. *Squeeing with delight at Hermione's discovery*
And the whirlwind of anger begins - Poor and deluded Severus believes that Hermione is bahving this way because of a misguided sense of pity. It would seem like a logical conclusion - well, no - only if he has his head in his arse (men are terribly obtuse when women care, aren't they?). Adorable though. Certainly glad that Severus isn't too altruistic - take pleasure whenever you can! Posturing in front of the mirror - the shame. "Useful expression" indeed.
H.I.P.P.O>, huh? Hermione really has to work on that. Nothing wrong with trying to show a grumpy man the way you feel, but she really needs some sort of help naming things - HIPPO indeed. *snort* Addicted to hugging him, huh? No time like the present to let the addiction get a little more hold. I really love that your Harry and Ron are looking at the bigger picture - and in such a mature fashion.
Hemione seemed to be trying to tap into her inner Slytherin - good for her. Too bad that Andrene wasn't having any of that - oh, well - back to the drawing board. Here we voyage again into the delusional world of Severus Snape - obviously not paying attention to the affections of one Miss Hermione Granger. Yes Severus - she only wants you for your intellectual bantering - poor deluded man. She's going to have to work really hard to make him understand.
I love that Harry and Ron are being mature and understanding in this story - it is a rarity indeed to see them behaving like men, rather than small children. My heart aches for Severus - whether he has been denied smiple affection, or if he is responsible for not accepting it.
Hermione can really turn the tide in the war if she figures out how to manage and control this new gift. Andrene is a very likeable OC, and she sneaks in - quietly, without taking over the entire story.
Exceptional. Harry is being on his best behavior - he gets brownie points for that. Cheers for Harry - especially observant Harry. I'm so glad that he is catching on to the scheme of things. Poor Hermione - everyone is catching onto her secret - even Remus suspects. I am so pleased that Hermione isn't under the same delusions regarding Sirius as everyone else seems to be. Avenging Angel in all her righteous fury.
Poor Severus - he's seen so little physical affection that getting hugs from Hermione seems like a torturous affair. Turpin has such an interesting story. I can imagine that Severus would be somewhat affectionate with his familiar and now Hermione gets a bit of insight into the man behind the mask. Lovely.
Poppy Pomfrey - queen of the useless gossip. A vital, but entirely funny role for the matron. I really like how you've set the roles for the characters - you've managed to make them everything that JK did, but you've added a depth that we haven't really seen for some of them.
I really enjoyed the way that Headmaster Dumbledore responded to the attacks of Severus' character. Harry was quite mature - and it is really nice to see that in a fic. I was inordinately pleased to see that Harry felt that Hermione was capable of making her own decisions - bodes really well for the future. :)
Severus is certainly up to date with his Gryffindor baiting (and expertly done). Minerva is not only the Head of Gryffindor, she is also a card-carrying member. (Poor Severus)
Oh, my word! Did Ron actually use a four syllable word - Sorry just couldn't resist. I really enjoyed the drunken debauchery that Turpin and Severus got up to.
I almost couldn't stop laughing when Hermione described it as the worst PMS ever. If that it the reality of it - I'm duly frightened. I see that Hagrid isn't above saying "I told you so".
I really like the way Hermione is behaving in this story. Hermione, no matter how intelligent and mature, is still subject to the same bouts of self-pity and doubt as the rest of us - mere mortals. A very intriguing beginning.
That would be a terrifying sight to wake to. Especially when the last night was spent in such a delightful way. Dobby has always seemed like a pretty good judge of character *smile* - I am inordinately pleased that he has had problems with Sirius as well - he has many things to attone for.
<---I'm so excited I'm dancing around in my own tears! So far you've managed to keep me awake. And that says a LOT for your writing. I can't wait to get through the rest...though it may be a problem as I have to work tomorrow...Oh well, a great story outweighs anything - anny day of the week!
“Albus,” Severus shouted, “what the bloody fuck are we doing in my private study?”I'm pretty sure this line will be my favorite line -- EVER. For one, I totally didn't see it coming (his remark, not that it was his rooms). And secondly, it is SO the P.Snape that you've molded it actually made me laugh aloud - and not many stories due that! Everything's looking good so far...but I'm up late reading, so I thought I'd leave a review incase I dose off. Very welll written so far, however. I'm becoming very fond of the characters as you've molded them!
This was beyond words wonderful. I started reading around eleven pm or so . . . it is now four in the morning and I'm just finishing up. I couldn't stop reading!! I mean, I could see this as a movie!! I adored the relationship between Harry and Draco and fell off my chair when Draco asked Snape's help in the tail removal. I love Snape's familiar . . . and now I want one!!! I have cats, they could play. This story was the perfect balance of so many different emotions. I cried when they thought Snape died, laughed quite often, enjoyed the serious aspects and rather enjoyed the smut as well! This fic was absolute fantastic-ness. One of the best I've ever read!!
Oh how I love the relationship between Harry and Draco. Bravo and well done. Tamara
