Written for nothingness101, as her SSHG Exchange BINGO prize. She requested: "A slightly fluffy Christmas romance which is a call back to the pureblood Snape of pre HBP. Basic story line about how Snape and Hermione get together, and I'd prefer a post war story. Thinking formal ball(s), formal courting, curtseys, formal address (Lord and Lady), maybe some family jewels (and maybe some Snape family to go with them). Please feature a frisky drunk Snape and lots and lots o' lemons."----I did my best!
AU post OotP, the tale of how Snape and Hermione helped defeat the Dark Lord, how their relationship developed, and how Snape Manor came into play.

I have completed my Master's of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and want to focus on serving the LGBTQIA community and the Alt/Kink/Poly communities in my work. Not quite what I had expected it to be (figured Lucius would make a big appearance, actually, because of the title), but overall I liked it. The whole uncle thing kinda came out of left field for me, but otherwise I enjoyed it. :)

LOL Sorry, no Lucius this time. The prompter wanted Snape Manor, pre-HBP Snape speculation, riches, "Lord" and "Lady" talk, intoxicated, flirtatious Severus, and eventual SSHG lemons. So, this is the best I could come up with to try to get all that in. ;) Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks so much for reviewing! :)

Lol, I'm actually glad Lucius was left out, I don't like him! With all the prompts, that's really good! That is a lot to mash together into one cohesive story lol.
At some point all that tension has to burst. I know I can't be the only one screaming for the two of them to just kiss and get it overwith, that friendships can become more.

Boy, they both are thick, aren't they? Rather than bantering jealously like that, they could have had a real conversation. Something tells me they have both agreed to a competition neither of them really wants to participate in.

I love the lord/lady act they use to mask their feelings. Hopefully the Elixir will help him 'let his hair down' and have some fun and realize she might be more than a friend. Great backstory on the Snape family. I love the idea his father and grandfather were Squibs.

Yay! The potion worked, Hermione's plans worked and that part is over. Now Severus can get on with his life and not feel guilty about any emotions he might have for anyone.

Poor Snape. Hermione is making him confront the fact that he is a human and has emotions just like everyone else. It's nice to see him find someone he confide in and who cares about him, seeks to understand him, as uncomfortable as that will make him.

I love that Hermione managed to mirror Severus' hopes for the future in her gift. That was a really lovely moment.

I'm curious to see if Uncle Lazarus and Snape Manor/fortune are for real or turn out to be some sort of scam. I loved the descriptions of Severus and Hermione's respective outfits. Just how much euphoria are we talking about, here? ;)

Wow! Seeing the battle scene from the standpoint of Severus and Hermione sitting out of the battle at the Grangers' house seemed a little anti-climactic at first, it keeps the focus of the story on the burgeoning relationship between Severus and Hermione. Has Kingsley noticed that Severus seems to be paying special attention to Hermione, or will he just attribute it to the after-the-battle shock?

There were some lovely scenes in this chapter, especially the "You've already given me something I like" scene. And they seem ready to move on from the friends stage, don't they? :)

I was just watching some HP fan videos before starting this story, so watching Dumbledore's very "twinkly" behavior made me giggle. Having said that, this is an intriguing premise. A lot can change in a year, however...
