Welcome to my world of (largely) erotic exploration of the human condition. (Well, that's one way of putting it anyway ...)
My writing is largely rated NC-17 and, as you will see, contains a lot of explicit detail. But I cannot write without developing believable characters, largely in canon (at least as a starting point), whose behaviour is established through dialogue and tangible situations. I adore these characters and tend to write from the inside out, getting inside their heads and simply letting them talk (and act ...). Yes, there is a lot of sex, but I hope my characters' sexuality enables them, and us, to discover deeper aspects of their personalities.

i really liked the way you described the exquisite tension in that Potions Class. How both held themselves so carefully to avoid others detecting the passion below the surface until it exploded at the end. :)

Your story has me riveted and reads true - I think anyone who has felt that all-consuming and searing NEED for another, especially someone you never saw "that" way before the instant of eye-contact that changes everything, should recognize it! I feel for Hermione's inability to focus on anything but that need, no matter how hard she tries. I love the way she handles Severus and I'm glad he's letting himself be "handled", but I wonder if we get to see the story from his point of view?

My heart was pounding through the entire chapter. So much felt with just the touch of a pinky! The scene reminded me of when Clarice handed Hannibal Lechter a file through the bars and he managed to caress her hand with his index finger. They showed it in slow motion. I could fell the electricity.Of course, I'm not comparing Snape to Hannibal, but so much emotion was condensed into that one small moment of skin on skin.Amazing. Closer and closer, indeed!

It was indeed bold, but I am not sure if she saw it that way. The suddenness of her emotions has somehow made her much more certain of their reality. She has set her mind on this, and it will take a lot to shift her from it, even though it is all a blur at the moment. x

What a detailed description of what it feels like to long so hard for another. While Hermione may be just a tiny bit overwrought in this chapter, the feeling of their (at first) inadvertent touch of fingers expanding to be deliberate is quite wonderful. If a brief event like this has ever happened to you (it has to me), then you would know that your writing is directly on the mark for the feelings it evokes. Waiting for the next chapter....

Indeed, I have experienced moments like this. When you have only a tiny outlet for your emotion, it is as if the point of contact or brief moment is at that point the most significant thing in the universe. All energy is focused there. I am not sure if Hermione is overwrought, but she is certainly overwhelmed by her sudden awareness of feelings for Severus. I suppose we can grant her a little confusion and frantic deliberation! Thank you for your kind words. Lots more of this story to come. x 
I really enjoyed this opening chapter. It immediately creates an intriging desire to know more about what is happening between them.

That was a dangerous game she was playing, but fortunately it turned out the way she had planned. He did need to apologize and she needed it too, and I think this really was the best way to get it to happen. Had she pressed him further in general conversation, I think it would have angered him. I still think it angered him, but there is such a fine line between anger and passion and she was able to tip the scales in favor of passion, so all of the intense emotion manifested itself in that direction. I love the direction that their relationship is going, and I hope for only the best for them.

I know things are still very intense, but they are certainly 'good' intense, if you know what I mean. That will be clearer in the next chapter. x

It wasn't really torture - more of a tease, really. And he loved it really, oh yes indeed!Perhaps you have read this before. This story has been posted in its entirety on two other sites for over a year now. But I have been editing it quite significantly to post here. I am much more pleased with what I've got here. x
