Welcome to my world of (largely) erotic exploration of the human condition. (Well, that's one way of putting it anyway ...)
My writing is largely rated NC-17 and, as you will see, contains a lot of explicit detail. But I cannot write without developing believable characters, largely in canon (at least as a starting point), whose behaviour is established through dialogue and tangible situations. I adore these characters and tend to write from the inside out, getting inside their heads and simply letting them talk (and act ...). Yes, there is a lot of sex, but I hope my characters' sexuality enables them, and us, to discover deeper aspects of their personalities.

I especially liked the ball scene with Severus, Hermione and Lawrence. The way Hermione managed to bring Severus down and the way he placed his forehead onto hers...it was incredibly tender and probably the easiest way to 'come out' with their relationship and allow people see the depth of feelings between the two of them. Well done.

It is a happy ending... although, I wonder how did Hermione do on her NEWTs? Did she get a higher grade than Severus? And what about work? It just seems so open-ended with his stuff at Spinner's End and hers at Grimmauld Place. Maybe its just me wanting more! It was a wonderful story. Oh - was that necklace enchanted just a bit? I don't trust Severus with that sidestepping her question and the word "cunning?" Livvy

You know, I regret not tying up that loose ending about her NEWTs - I really should have. But also, in a way, perhaps it is best we don't know. I don't think I could bear the thought of either of them beating the other!And, no, there wasn't anything enchanted about the necklace - it was simply a lovely gift. Brilliant. I loved how she said "goodbye" to "Professor" Snape and left. It was needed to make that break officially between them. Now they are truly equals in every sense.Livvy

This is a wonderful, poignant ending. I like the way you left the future happy but up to our imaginations. I think I'm going to imagine Severus being a guest lecturer at Hogwarts occasionally. I have a hard time imagining the school without him. Thank you for a great story.

Oh goodness, this got me all emotional and weepy. I'm not sure if I was crying for the happiness of Severus and Hermione's ending (or rather, their beginning), for Severus' recognition from his pupils, or the fact I'm saying goodbye to this story, like saying goodbye to a dear old friend.I can't thank you enough for posting this wonderful story, and for inspiring me to start writing again.I look forward to all your work in the future, you're a very skilled writer, and you did my two favourite characters the world of justice and more.It was simply perfect, from start to finish. I'm reading this... I am so behind! The last couple of chapters have been so wonderfully written, I felt all those feelings over again from when I was newly in love with my husband. We could only see each other at the week-end. He would pick me up from work and take me home, I would get dressed up and we would go out to dinner and dancing! I remember those lazy days, lounging late in bed, all those precious days just the two of us. Ten years now, and we have a 5 year-old. 13 more years and we can start all over again! Thanks for sharing your fic! I adore your Severus and Hermione.

Aw - I'm glad it's bringing back memories! I too have young children and hanker after those days when it was so easy to go out and so easy to be in love ... I guess we just have to go about it in a different way now! x
