Episode 5 of the Al & Scorp Show. True loyalty dies hard. So do old habits. Albus and Scorpius take refuge in the Shrieking Shack and prepare for a fight. (Like the rest of the series, this story leaped from my head one wintry day, Athena-like—fully formed and ready to do battle.)

Mostly Harmless! Though I have to admit, I'm even stranger than I appear. ;-) There's a pile of unbeta'd stuff on my LJ (dracfic) if you're interested in Raw, Untamed, fanfic.
Believe it or not, "How Argus Filch Got Wild, Got Laid, and Got His Magic" has been rec'ed by Know It Alls! It's true! They gave me this pretty lil' ribbon and everything! And in March 2007, they saw fit to likewise reccommend (as an antidote to angst) the story that started it all, 'Courtesy of Your Fairy God-Jarvey'--just in time for the first anniversary of that story's posting! *hugs Harm*
(I also have to admit that 'mostly harmless' may not be the most apt description of a member of the Mad Chatters...)
Finally, I just have to say... Storyville. If you were there, you know what I mean.Reviews for Uniformly Brave
that worked as well as the other ending :)

Thank you! I feel very strongly about the friendship arc (though I couldn't resist the temptation to write that first kiss.) :)

Well done. I'm sorry the other kids are treating them that way, but I'm glad Albus is ok with it.I'm curious about the portraits and the magic that Snape performed. Do those things show up in any of your other fics?Great work!

I will try to answer all such questions at some point in the series (see previous responses for schedule constraints!) Thank you kindly for reviewing. :)

okay, now i see what happened, because now i have TWO e-mails in my inbox announcing stories from you. (of course, if i had actually read the description of the story i would have understood, but i saw new story and just clicked and ran off to read it without caring what it was about.) i liked this ending, too, but i like the slash ending better. it felt to me like it fit the story better, somehow. : )

Such are the perils of dealing with a two-headed plot bunny (which I still maintainis preferable to dealing with a 3-headed hellhound!) Glad you found and liked both! I know that the gen ending feels like a little less of a payoff--but I felt very strongly about both story arcs that came into my head, especially the idea that even teenage male awkwardness couldn't keep Al from his best friend. :)

i would have to agree, two-head plot bunny beats three-headed hellhound everytime. (actually, i hope it doesn't come up very often as a competition - hellhound sounds scarey even with one head!) i agree with you that this was also a variation worth exploring. and, i won't complain about having more story to read!
very sweet.pesonally i kinda liked the Scorp-Lily ship, oh well.
wonder if they know about old Albus and some of the things not revealed by the Skeeter woman...

Thank you! Alas, Lily just isn't quite Scorpius' type, to put it mildly... but, on the plus side, Lily has the absolute best gay friend a girl could hope for! :)
Snape saves the day again! I love that when the boys are in need they turn to him. It seems so appropriate.

Thanks! Good old Snape... heroic--and worried about the little wankers--despite himself. :)
